⭐ 1 star Hallow by name, hollow in compassion — anything but peaceful
My experience with Hallow has been extremely disappointing. I discovered a £66.99 Hallow subscription only when checking my Google Play purchase history. I did not knowingly sign up for or authorise it. I explained that my young daughter made the purchase without my knowledge or permission. Rather than properly addressing those circumstances, Hallow repeatedly referred me to its trial terms and 14-day refund window. But how could I have asked for a refund within 14 days when I didn’t even know the subscription existed? Hallow has confirmed that the subscription is cancelled and will not renew, but has refused to refund the £66.99. I wanted a genuine review of an accidental, child-made purchase, not another standard explanation of the policy. The most frustrating part was the repeated sign-off: “In peace.” There has been nothing peaceful about trying to resolve this. For an app associated with faith, prayer and compassion, I expected a far more understanding response. Hallow by name, hollow in compassion. Based on my experience with its customer service, I cannot recommend it.

Hello Jazmin, We're truly sorry for the frustration and disappointment you've experienced. We understand your concerns, especially about your daughter making a purchase without your knowledge. Because your subscription was purchased through Google Play, we have limited access to transaction details and cannot independently verify whether a child made the purchase or whether it was made without the account holder's authorization. However, we'd like to review your circumstances further and explore what options may be available. One of our Customer Support Managers has reached out to you personally via email. Please check your inbox, including your spam or junk folder, for our message. We appreciate the opportunity to look into this further and hope to find a positive resolution. Hallow Support
