I only needed to replace the flaps on my 6 year old Hale dog door. I could not find the flaps online right away. I called Hale and spoke to an extremely helpful lady named Jan. she emailed me the info I needed right away. she said if I had any problems installing the flaps I could call her back and we would set up someone to come out and install them. the flaps arrived quickly. it took me some time, but I finally got the flaps into the door. the 2nd flap was the most difficult. if I can do it, a 70 year old lady, you can do it yourself too! thank you Jan and Hale!! I have had three orders with Hale and they always get it right and if there is ever a question they are on it and help you with the solution. I've even had Mr. Hale get on the phone to explain and answer a question.

I originally ended up at a site selling Hale products that was more expensive, shipping to Canada was outrageous and they had no idea if customs would apply or what it would be if it did. Hale was great, no hidden costs and end price at least 25% cheaper for the same product!

I got the door promptly and the directions were easy too follow. The hardest thing as cutting the tunnel to size. Once that was accomplished was a snap from there.

Great dog door. I have two doors. Hale doors cost twice as much as the competition but they last more than twice as long. I just added a second door, this one in my Lanai screen room. My original Hale door is still going strong, I installed that one in 1997. I have three 100lb German Shrpherds and these doors really get used.

I had one of those dog doors you add in to a patio door, which was OK, but I couldn't use (or lock) the patio door, and the seal between the two doors was poor. I changed to a Hale dog door that went through a newly-constructed wall. The improvement is amazing -- the door has double flaps, so it's much better insulated (and keeps the bugs out); I can use my patio door again; and Charlie the dog learned to use the new Hale door in about 2 minutes. The Hale door was easy to size to fit the thickness of the wall, and I like the way the dog door can be closed and locked when I'm away from home for extended periods.
