I am satisfied with this pet door. It looks much sturdier than my former, well made. I have one smaller dog and one cat. I took off one flap before installation as I thought my cat would not take to a new door plus an additional flap, hoping I could add some time later. I was right in doing so. She will now use the door but doesn't like how hard it is for her to push it. So it periodically doesn't swing completely closed tight and gets caught up on the black inner piece of stripping leaving a corner open. Also, where this stripping is placed around the frame(in between the magnets) it leaves small gaps exposed that allow the elements to come through . If both flaps were on, this would not be a problem as hey are in different places.But it looks nice, pets are using it, and seems like good quality.

It took some time to put in our wall mount doggie door. Cutting through the stucco took the longest time and thanks for recommending a diamond blade. That is what worked. It looks great and the finish color matches our wall color. It took a little bit for our beagle to get used to going through two flaps instead of one. This is sturdy and will last for years.

Great in-wall door! Double flaps really keep the cold out. Took a follow up call and an email to get status of my order(11/2), but got a quick response from company and received door on 11/12. Would recommend this vendor to anyone!

This order was for replacement flaps for a door we have had nearly 20 years with no problems except to replace the flaps a couple of times. The door gets direct western Arizona sun a few hours a day which causes the outer flap to discolor, shrink, and shrivel. Not a problem - I don't expect any clear plastic to stand up to the sun. Very satisfied with the product. I think this is the second replacement in 20 years. This shipment came quickly. Unfortunately the collection of brushes was incorrect for the size door. I did not bother to contact Hale because I had extras on hand from previous orders that I had not replaced.

The young lady that took my order was very helpful. But, when I received my doggie door, it not only was the wrong color, the screw package & instruction booklet were not included! When I called to complain, I was offered the opportunity to return the unit & they would send the correct one. But, as I had already waited a week, I opted to keep the unit. The screw kit & booklet were mailed and received in 2 days. I had the door installed by a professional and was told it was the best unit he had ever installed. I did receive an e-mail that addressed the mistake and was credited a % off my bill and credited the shipping and handling fee. I am VERY happy with the end result and so are my babies! Woof-Woof!!!

I have had a Hale dog door for about ten years. I have had two Dobermans during this time. The dogs love the doors and had no trouble learning to use them. The only problem I've had is the outside flaps tear at the top. I have replaced the flaps about 3 or 4 times in ten years. But all in all they are worth buying.

This is a great product. It's a little on the too expensive side ($150 shipped? ouch) though and directions are NOT clear. They need to be less wordy and use bigger better pictures. Hand draw them for clarity. (Take a lesson from IKEA here, PLEASE!) I am very handy and can read/interpret directions well and still put the door in the wrong way.). I also watched the online video but small details and up-close views are not addressed. Also the screws you included were too short and would not bind to my screen door frame even though I ordered the one that is supposed to fit all. Good thing I had 6 longer screws in my screw box or it would have meant a frustrating trip to Home Depot. I have 2 cats and 2 medium size dogs and everybody can now go in and out at will. You asked for feedback so just trying to help you see consumer/user point of view. Thanks for listening.
