We are long time customers. I've purchased several dog doors from Hale for many years for both our use and as gifts to others. We recently called to purchase replacement flaps/parts and the person who helped us was great! She was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly - and recognized our long time service with gratitude. We had no expectation of anything special and yet she went above and beyond in creating a positive customer engagement! I don't recall her name however hopefully you have records of our call. Please reward her with our thanks and any other recognition vehicle you have to encourage your employees and their performance! Great to work with like-minded organizations with wonderful people!

Best doors ever. Serviceable long lasting. Well thought out

The door showed up quickly and was well packaged. We installed the door over the weekend with no complaints about quality. I had installed a Hale door at my sister's house about six years ago and it was still going strong (same flaps) so I stuck with them for my own house. The hardest part was cutting through the bricks and moving some electrical. The install guide is good and we had no problems.

I wanted the sturdiest pet screen door out there, since my dogs don't always go through the opening calmly. I had to order the universal door, since my 1979 andersen screen door did not seem to fit the parameters of their clamshell model. The construction of the door is amazingly hefty and inspires confidence. When I realized that the door had been shipped without the necessary clips, one call to Hale put them in the mail immediately. That said, the pictures and instructions for it leave a LOT to be desired. I had two tool and construction-wise family members puzzling over the proper application of the clips. Some black and white drawings with arrows would be preferable to the inconclusive photos! It might also be nice to have an option for a screen flap, instead of the heavy plastic all-purpose flap. Since my dogs were used to just pushing through the screen (they had made their OWN flap previously) they were daunted by the heavy plastic flap and we had to remove it and make our own screen flap. This of course is not as nice as a professional one. All in all, it looks nice now that it is installed with new screens and the pain of installation is behind us.

after lots of review and previous experience with other pet doors I decided on the Hale pet door for our 12 small dogs. We foster several yorkshire terriers and have several of our own so a dog door in our home is a must. We live in the Midwest and get some cold weather so I wanted something that would keep the cold out. I placed the order and the door arrived sooner than the expected wait time of 7-10 days. I had a handyman install the door but watching him I could see how easy the installation was compared to the previous door that we had in the same spot. This time we were going up in size to a small medium so the hole had to be enlarged. So far the dogs are all using it and it with a day of learning the new door. The door looks nice and I am hoping it last longer and the flaps do not freeze like the old door. So far I would buy it again but ask me again in a couple of years!

Mike, the Hale technician, did everything right! He called to let me know when he would arrive. He installed the new external frame and flap and did a PERFECT job. My pet door was installed in July of 2004 and is in perfect condition, except that I have had to replace the external flap three times due to shrinkage caused by exposure to the sun. I wish Hale would come up with a UV resistant flap, as replacement is expensive.

This is the best pet door on the market! Strong, easy to install and backed with great customer service!

Love our Hale Pet Door which we've owned for 11 years and are just now needing to replace the outer plastic flap and weather seal. Whole unit has held up well against 2 large dogs, 11 years of heavy use, and numerous kids who love to use the door as well.
