Easy to install and fit perfectly.

I needed a dog door with special characteristics, and Hale made it for me. I have many (8, I think) Hale dog doors between my home and our weekend house. My dogs--multiple dachshunds--are very adept at destroying the flaps and removing all the weather-stripping. Hale created a door at my request that has a metal edge to the flap, and it is much harder for the dogs to chew it. Thank you, Hale.

Well conceived and constructed, I've been using Hale dog doors for over 20 years for the homes I've lived in. Most of the time when I sell the home, the buyers are thrilled when they see such a well made, energy efficient, dog door. Most dog door manufacturers products are not even in the same universe when it comes to quality. I've shopped them all, and I always come back to a Hale pet door.

Great company, great product. It starts with excellent customer service from Jen, who helps you with every aspect of deciding what features are needed for you, to quick delivery, then receiving a very high quality product. Even the packaging is out of this world. You get what you pay for & this is well worth it. I have been buying Hale Pet doors since 1995 and have tried almost every style. They never disappoint. I move a lot & the new home owners always request that I leave it with the house. Thanks Hale. :)

Our original Hale Pet Door, purchased Oct 2000 is now in our third home. Originally installed in Gilbert AZ, moved to Chandler AZ and now to Parker TX. We saved the inside and outside wall pieces as recommended by the Hale installer. Each time we moved it, Hale came to remove door, repair the walls and re-install in our new home. The quality of the repair was excellent; you couldn't even tell that it had been in the wall. It is currently installed in a door and Hale provided the appropriate insert to accommodate the space. Three sets of flaps and one set of weather stripping later, the door still looks and operates like new. Our 2 new Yorkie pups (10 wks old) are already using the door after just 2 weeks in our home. We highly recommend Hale Pet Door. Customer service is awesome!!!! Extremely happy customer!

The door is great but so far only one of our three dogs uses it freely. We only installed it three days ago, so the dogs still need time to adjust. They'll get it. The instructions said to use a rotary saw (or a key hole saw) on a metal door to install. It did not work. I actually burned up my rotary saw (it was 25 years old. Not surprised this happened). I then used my jigsaw and it worked great. I had to cut the jig saw blade in half and cut the door from both sides. The blade was not long enough (or stable enough) to cut through both sides as the same time. The hardest part was making sure that it was lined up. The Door looks great and seems to be keeping the cold out. Winter came today so we'll see how it holds up in the wind. The magnets hold well. Maybe too well. The Dogs don't like how they have to push. Oh well, they'll learn. The door was expensive but it seems to be worth it.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with Hale Pet Door. We needed an interior flap replacement kit and although the price seems steep for a flap we decided to go ahead with it as cold air was coming in through the areas that were missing on our existing flap. I had a slight user issue in placing the order and called customer service, was helped immediately by a very helpful representative who quickly reaolved my issue. The shipping I believe was around $17.00 which seems steep also, however the flap arrived in just a few days via fed ex so was worth it. Instillation was fairly easy, my husband was able to do it in under 30 mins and the replacement looks great!
