I had a unique problem. We had a screened in porch added to our house years ago. The contractor used a standard sliding glass door unit as we only had small dogs at that time. Since then, we adopted a dog which has grown to 119 #'s and we needed a much larger door. I measured the opening width, called customer service & explained my problem. She immediately said what you need is a screen unit. We discussed how that would work & I ordered it. The door arrived a few days later and we were able to install it with very little problem. I love Hale doors because they always have the right door for your needs. This is the 4th Hale door I've had (3 different houses) and they are all still in place working just like they're supposed to. The door in my nook that goes out onto the screened patio has been in place for 10 years and still looks just like new. Just have to clean the flaps ocassionally to get the doggie dirt off them. Would recommend these doors to anyone who needs a doggie/cat door.

I have had my Hale Pet Door for over 6 years and the outside flap depreciated in the hot Las Vegas sun. I decided to replace the flap and they sent me new magnets and weather stripping to go with it. I replaced everything and now have almost a brand new pet door again. This is the best pet door on the market for going through exterior walls. I also caution about getting too big of a pet door, as bad people have been known to crawl through them.

Just got the door installed. I had a difficult install, under a window, above a 6" base board, old house, but it looks great. Now I just have to convince my Dachshund she can use it instead of me as her butler.

I purchased a wall model Hale pet door and had it installed by a handyman friend of mine. Had to go through a brick exterior wall. Installation went great and my two dogs are starting to go through it on their own after 3 days. The pet door is solid, well made and came securely packaged to avoid any damage in transit. The double flaps do a pretty good job of insulating from outside temperatures. I like that it came with a little rain cap, carpeting for the tunnel and flashing. Hopefully the 2 clear flaps will be durable and last a long time. The locking door is very solid and secure. An unexpected perk of purchasing from this company if you have a rescue pet is that they provide a discount on the product and contribute the monies to the rescue center of your choice...nice touch!

I just installed the training flaps in my pet door for my stubborn Pekingese, it only took 15 minutes and he was using the door he would never even try before. Yay!! I'm very pleased.

I ordered 2 doors from Hale. From the online ordering, to my questions on the phone when I called, and all the way through the end when I had to call back with questions, these guys were professional, friendly, and responsive. I wish all companies were as good to work with as Hale. And honestly I am hard to please. The doors have been perfect and you can tell they are FAR FAR above the doors I had been used to (formerly purchased whatever was available at a local Pet Supply chain). There quality is worth paying a bit more. And I sincerely love and appreciate their Shelter Adoption donation program. Dog rescue is so near and dear to my heart and they made it easy to 1). get something I needed while at the same time 2) making a donation to our location Human Society. They don't have to do that but you can tell they do it for the same beliefs as I have. Thank you very much for 100% pleasant experience. I will never buy another pet door from anyone else.
