I had a great experience with Gold Seal and got 87% on my first try. The lessons were very informative and helpful. I also love that I get it for life, which will help with my recurrent tests.

I think that the course was thorough and well taught. however (and this has nothing to do with the course itself) but I cannot figure out for the life of me why a Drone operator has to learn soooooo much just to fly a drone under 400 feet. It just seems that the FAA and or government figured out another way to make a buck. I scored high 90’s and 100’s on all my quizzes and a 100 on the Final exam and I know I’ll do great on the FAA 107 exam, BUT.... I can see how this is going to discourage a lot of potential drone pilots from coming out if the shadows, and maybe that’s just the weeding out process. Once again, the only people who are accountable for their actions are people who are accountable for their actions. Everyone else just does what they want. That being said, I choose to follow the rules and hopefully one day this will all pay off. I do highly recommend this course. It’s time consuming and requires much of your focus and due diligence to get through it. Here’s how I did it. I would complete the chapter and then take the quiz over and over until I scored 100. Then the next day I would complete the next chapter but instead of jumping right in to the quiz, I would start by retaking the first quiz. And so on and so forth. Before I took each (new) quiz I would always start way back on the very first quiz and keep going u til I took the new one! It works!! Good luck

I would like to see a section of the dealing with some normal things, example we have a bandage patch and go “hospital” with a heli pad And the arrangement that I have with them is a bit of a joke but that’s what they want. Same with a private airport that does move do business every day....and they have never called back after every call. The Laws to be broken Down into normal English. Not just a handful. More specific about drones uva not just basic airmanship.

4 questions on FAA test not covered! The training was very good and it covered a trmendous amount of ground. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that there were 4 questions on the FAA test that I don’t believe any information was provided about by Gold Star training. Had to guess and I got two and missed two. If information was provided, it was glossed over so lightly or played down as to not get on my radar for study. I don’t do online training very well, I avoided it preferring live classes. Gold Star held my attention and was interesting and I reviewed most videos 4 & 5 times. I recommend this training package.
