Easy to understand! Recommend 100% as a student pilot, I endorse this ground school! No bogus, got recommended to me by my instructor, I was reluctant to switch because I already purchased sportys ground school, but at the end of the day, it was a great purchase!

I purchased the lifetime private pilot ground school so I could study at my own pace without time limits. The ground school is easy to navigate and understand. The section overviews, visuals in the videos, Section quizzes, practice tests and everything else that helped me pass the knowledge test with flying colors. Gold Seal literally has a customer for life.

Gold Seal is the gold standard for private pilot ground school! I just passed the Private Pilot Airplane exam with a 95% and am excited for the check ride. The lessons are presented in a way that isn't boring, changes pace as needed, uses real aircraft video and animations where needed, and is conversational. It's like having a master CFI right there. The video courses are well organized into sections that pair well with stages of flight training. They are then subdivided into easily digestible lessons within a section so you can spend a few minutes here and there or binge an hour or two if you have the time. You'll run through the lessons like a checklist and many have quizzes where needed. You'll know right away where you need to work for mastery of individual topics. The sections conclude with stage checks that will prepare you for the real exam in both their content and format. After you've completed all lessons and stage checks, it's on to the practice exams and then the endorsement for the FAA exam. I highly recommend having a sectional plotter, E6B (either digital or mechanical), piece of paper, and a physical copy of the FAA-CT-8080-2H testing supplement book handy for the practical exercises. It'll make measuring distances and headings on charts a lot easier than trying to work them out on a screen (an unfortunate limitation in any online course).

I have used Gold Seal for both my private and instrument. I passed both written exams and my private practical test so far with this course. The material is easy to follow, and it keeps you engaged, unlike most talking head online ground schools available elsewhere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an online ground school.
