Great lessons
Great lessons, I would have liked more interaction with lessons. Like a game. Some of the questions in the tests were never gone over. But only a couple. All in all great course.

Material presented clearly and at a pace that could be absorbed without dragging. There are a few technical bugs that throw off the screen graphics and leave the user to sort out what they're supposed to see. Nothing critical - but still less than 100%.

I really enjoyed the thorough design of this program. You guys did a great job at describing certain systems that I was having trouble with prior. I’m happy to say that I am assured in my purchase of this program by the differences from alike ground school programs. There was a point in my learning where I had to send an email to reach out to a gold seal staff member, and they were quick to respond and explain my difficulties. The reason I have four stars on this, is because the question bank for my practice exams at the completion of the curricula were limited compared to the aviation, supplies and academics inc. question bank in their own program. They also have an explanation for every question, which helps compared to Gold Seal just showing the answer on a PDF. I found myself memorizing the answers, which may have a negative effect on the real knowledge exam.

Hi Aiden, thank you for your feedback! The reason the practice exams have a limited number of questions is so that it will match what you'll see when you take the real FAA Knowledge Test. Each practice exam is randomized from the entire bank of thousands to make sure you don't just memorize them. Shoot us an email to let us know how you do on your Knowledge Test, we'd love to know!

I just recently passed my private pilot written test, and passed easily. The practice test help ease my mind about knowing the material for the test. The different ways that they teach the material makes learning all the information really great.I would recommend this program to anybody who would like to get into aviation.

I finnished the ground schooling program with a solid understanding of the course material and while I am confident in my ability to pass the actual written test I have not yet taken it so course accuracy will not be accounted for. The course plan was easy to follow and well designed, able to be done at my own pace between all the interruptions that life throws. The material was a bit dry but not nearly as much as other courses I have sampled, and with only a handful of rough patches (air space, stalls, and radio reports) I was able to pass each section with ease. The little mini tests and flash cards at the end of most sections helped cement the material. However during the course I noticed in the pressure altitude section regarding outside air temp two of the section quiz answers where flipped so the correct answer was wrong, when I approached support with this information and examples they reinforced that yes the answers where wrong, but that they could not find the questions at all. It is a shame but gold seal Definitely has my recommendation

If I could give a 4.5, I would. I started back in the new year of 2020 with GS Ground School, so I have been able to see many updates to lessons and even lessons added. I love the self pace and lessons were short enough as to not feel overwhelmed. The information was broken into perfect bites. I got a good score on my Knowledge Test summer of 2021 and then was excited to see some really good updates when I went back to review for my checkride which I passed with flying colors on Jan. 16, 2022. The live action videos are really helpful. I think students could also really benefit from seeing a slowed down video of the 4 stroke engine or actually be able to select the engine they have and see a demonstration perhaps from a mechanic. I also think a real SIM video showing a simulated instrument failures - mainly the pitot static system and seeing what happens in the cockpit with the with different combinations of failures. Regarding wake turbulence, I just couldn't seem to memorize this and another peer told me about "flying the bowl" which was such a great visual. I will continue to study with Gold Seal. The support team is lightening fast in their replies and I love knowing that they are also "always learning" and making positive changes to an already great Ground School. Thanks Gold Seal!

Really a great ground school. Had I the possibility to put 4.5 stars, I would have. I only didn't put 5 stars because some parts of the program were a bit older and hence less interactive. I felt like I could see different levels of recency for the videos. I personally really enjoyed the videos in the cockpit, which I feel helped me understand the best the explained content. I think adding more of these would be a great step!

We're glad you enjoyed the cockpit videos! Feedback like this helps us make our training better and better. In fact, we've been working hard to update those older lessons and they'll be out soon! Good flying!
