Gold Seal Ground SchoolsReviews of groundschool.com

Great program for PPL and IFR! I went with Gold Seal for both my PPL and IFR ground school and could not have been happier. Let’s start with the easy part. I scored a 92 on my PPL knowledge test and a 98 on my Instrument Test. This absolutely made the checkride oral easier and I was well prepared. Do the work, study the quizzes, look at what you got wrong, and study some more. Success is a by-product of putting in the work with this excellent course. As for the actual learning, the “lectures”, the videos and the 3D Animations were all top shelf. The material was presented in a way that wasn’t just for passing the test, but rather in a way to impart practical and long lasting knowledge. I couldn’t be happier with what I learned and the way it was presented. It really hits when you’re talking to CFIs, other long term pilots and well respected aviation community members and your knowledge is on par with the theirs and you can partake in a meaningful discussion beyond just memorization of test questions. I can’t recommend Gold Seal, Russ, Nate and the team highly enough.

This course was put together solid. From start to finish, it was spot on. I scored a 95% on the PPL written exam with ease. From the graphics, to the added downloadable training material, to the videos, everything was valuable in my journey. Thank you team!

This course was actually enjoyable. I used another online ground school for my PPL and it was boring and hard to stay interested. Gold Seal had small enough sections and frequent quizzes to keep me engaged. The explanations were extremely clear and easy to understand. I would recommend this to everyone!

Great course! Walks you through everything you need to know to become a private pilot.

I purchased the Gold Seal material for my Private Pilot License (PPL) preparation, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The course is easy to navigate, highly interactive, and works seamlessly on mobile as a progressive web app—making it convenient to study anywhere. The flashcards are an absolute lifesaver, reinforcing key concepts effectively. I also found the built-in chat and phone support extremely helpful whenever I had questions. The material is structured in a way that simplifies complex topics, making them easy to understand and retain. A special thanks to Russ for putting together such an outstanding resource! His dedication to aviation education truly shines through in this course. Highly recommended for anyone preparing for the FAA written exam!

The most comprehensive and up to date ground school on the market. Between the technology used for animation and videos along with the testing and review sections you can master the art of learning rather than just memorization. They are teaching you the material for life skills. Not just teaching you how to pass an exam which they do a good job with that too. I was so Amazed with the Instrument ground school that I actually purchased the PPL ground school for my sixteen year old son who is already at solo.

Excellent material and customer service. I had a couple of technical questions concerning navigating the course on my iPad. Asked one via email and received an immediate response; called once and they picked up the phone and walked me through the issue while I was on the phone.

I had a great experience with Gold Seal. All the material was explained very well and the high quality graphics and illustrations made everything easier to understand. The practice tests helped me feel confident going into the written exam, where I scored a 98. Would definitely recommend.
