Deceptive Math and Misleading Rates
Deceptive Math and Misleading Rates! Do the Calculations Yourself! I had a highly disappointing experience with GreenBridge Capital due to what I consider false advertising and deceptive marketing semantics. They pull you in under the pretense of a great "Monthly Rate" marketed between 9% and 14%. However, you only find out later through semantics that they are actually quoting a "Cents on the Dollar" (CoD) rate, which is entirely different and effectively doubles the actual cost. Despite having a credit score over 800 and multiple years in business with strong revenue, the math on the amortization schedule they provided didn't add up. The actual monthly rate came out to 4.03%, which translates to a staggering 48.4% APR. To make matters worse, the communication was completely inconsistent. The representative put the lower monthly rate in writing via email, but over the phone, they used different wording hoping it wouldn't be caught. They tried to claim that the 48.4% APR was just a "legal thing" and that I was "really" only paying 2.4%. When you do the actual math on the repayment schedule, that is simply not true. On top of the rate issues, their initial communication even included incorrect account information, listing a phone number that wasn't mine. Be very careful, look past the sales talk, and calculate the actual amortization math yourself before signing anything with this company.
