So I ordered a Westward V-block set Mfr# 4KY25A, on 10/29/21. I have used the V-blocks with great success. I had a cause to use the actual clamps that came with the set yesterday. 1 small clamp worked great. I needed to use both of the small blocks and clamps today and 1 snapped in half. You can see the bubble in the casting right on the threads. So I switched to the large V-blocks, again the large clamp snapped in half, again with a bubble in the casting right at the threads. Now mind you this is the first time those clamps have been used. I tried to contact Grainger and here is the transcript: Ashley (1/20/2023, 8:06:11 AM): Hi Michael, welcome to Grainger Chat! My name is Ashley, how are you doing today? Michael (1/20/2023, 8:06:26 AM): I have had better days. Michael (1/20/2023, 8:13:58 AM): you can see where there is a bubble in the casting of the clamps Michael (1/20/2023, 8:14:22 AM): I placed an order for Westward V-block set back in 10/29/21 my account # is 0887789900. Needed a part to help customer with no heat in building. There was none locally but they had the part in Des Moines. Drove 200 miles and called Grainger to have them open up the store after hours. I had placed the order under my name and I was told they couldn’t open up the store to a retail customer. Informed them that I work for a very large national AC company and they could transfer the order under my name over to my company. I was told they could not help me with that. I told them this was a big emergency and I drove 200 miles to get part and that the company I work for does hundreds of thousands of business with them. I was told sorry but they can’t help me. I will never purchase anything else from Grainger and will encourage anyone else I know to never do business with them.

I purchase a motor, you promised it to be here today and know your telling me Monday. I have a business to run and you guys put me behind AGAIN. You took seconds to take my money, then over promise and under deliver. You have to understand they don’t care about you, only the sale. They get the sale and them have their uneducated customer service peps send out prewritten I’m sorry’s but it’s your choice, you have been warned.

This is a brand new pair of books. Today I put them on for the first time and the hook for shoe lace is pulling out of its hole. Further the top hooks 2 of 4 are too close to the top of the boot to use. This is my second pair in two years. The same to be said of the 1st pair but boot lasted almost a year. But that was from time of pucrchase. J wouldn’t recommend this boot company evenntbigh they are USA made. Very disappointed.

Grainger took advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic and purchased Tyvek coveralls from Dupont for $4 a pair and immediately sold them to the US government for $7.95 a pair, scoring millions of dollars in less than 24 hours. I've used this company for HSEQ equipment since 2006 and will never touch them again. Garbage company, who's demise could not come sooner.

Ordered NEMA 14-50 receptacle. They shipped a heavily used item with lots of wear in unacceptable condition.

Grainger keeps products on their websites they know they can not provide. I purchased an item the beginning of August. It was due to be delivered on Aug 22nd. When tracking the item, there were no updates so I contacted customer service on the 29th. They informed me the item was "still" on backorder until Nov 22nd. I had not been told this and the item is STILL on their website, with a delivery of 2 weeks time. I questioned customer service regarding their system not tracking these back orders/contacting clients etc. The response I received was "Hello *****, We're really sorry for the inconvenience and we totally understand your deception. As always, if you have any questions we are here to help. Thank you, *******" I am going out on a VERY small limb here and say their customer service is either horrible AI or pennies on the dollar, taken advantage of, foreign workers. Clients are very understanding when it comes to vendor issues. When the company is transparent and honest, which Grainger is assuredly NOT.
