I mistakenly used GovSwift because I believed I was on an official government passport website. The site gave me the impression that I was completing my passport application through the government rather than through a third-party service. After paying the fee, I received paperwork that was not completed correctly. Because of the errors, I was unable to use the documents they provided. I then went to the official government passport website, completed the forms myself, and successfully scheduled my passport appointment. The entire process on the official site took less time than I had spent using GovSwift. After multiple complaints, the company agreed to refund 60% of the fee. However, I still paid for a service that I ultimately could not use and had to redo myself from the beginning. My experience was frustrating and time-consuming. I would strongly encourage anyone applying for a passport to go directly to the official government website rather than paying a third-party service. Double-check the website address before entering personal information or payment.

This site is very misleading. It led me to believe that I was submitting my application electronically. However, after going through a lengthy process and paying a very high price, they only sent me a completed form that I could have gotten for free. Do not use this service. It is a scam, and you will then have to pay for your passport fees.

Easy to fill out the application but the fees were confusing. I felt forced to fill it out online for it to cost over 100 dollars is not worth it. Then still have to pay for the actual passport. I was fooled. No receipt was provided and had to be requested. Never again.

The service only provides autofill of documents but no actual processing.

When searching for renewing my passport, this came up, and seeing the "Gov" in the title made me assume it would be a way for me to renew my passport. Apparently there was some fine text saying "we are not affiliated with the government" but also a GIANT button saying "get your passport" and after I went through the whole process and spent $110 dollars, and gave a LOT of personal information that I did not expect to give (SS#, sure, but also mother's maiden name, and much more) I downloaded the forms that said "now you can take this to the USPS and pay ANOTHER $130 to get your passport." TOTAL FRAUD. I then found the government website, and was able to fill out everything needed to get my passport from the government in 10 minutes, but now I'm paying over $250 for my passport because of this scam site. They still have my information and I'm worried they could possibly interfere with my identity. ------------------------------ EDIT: After reaching out to the company to ask for a refund, they offered me 40%, and said I could still use the forms they prepared for me to get my passport (the one I already had gotten through the US government website after discovering this was a scam). I said that wasn't enough, and they offered 70%. Then after this review went live, they reached out and apologized for the inconvenience, and offered that 70% discount again. I told them that in the process of using their service, I had 2 credit cards flagged for suspicious activity, so I lost access to those cards, and that nothing short of a full refund would be acceptable. - They DID grant the refund eventually. Then...the emails happened. They told me they gave me a refund, then asked that I go and edit my review to reflect their customer service. I ignored the message. Over the next three weeks I received an email every two days, at least 10 times in total, with the same message - we've refunded you, we are sorry for the inconvenience, would you like to edit your review? here's the link to the review so you can edit it! THEN finally, today, they CALLED MY HOME PHONE (which again reminded me that THEY HAVE ALL MY INFORMATION INCLUDING MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND MOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME) and when I hung up on them, they emailed me AGAIN asking when I'd update my review. So here's my updated review. Can you make it zero stars?

I was looking to renew my passport, this came up first and it looked like a GOV site. I knew passports were about $120, I didn’t know this site wasn’t the government and they were charging $120 for me to fill out the passport paper on their site. THAT IS ALL THEY DO!!! You are paying to fill out a form on their site instead of hand writing it! THIS SITE SHOPULD BE ILLEGAL!! DO NOT USE!!! I filed a CC dispute. You should to!

This is a completely unnecessary service and they overcharge the unsuspecting visitors. $125 for just letting you fill a form. Go to the official department of state website. This is a scam. I’m really disappointed that I fell for this scam.

I needed to renew my passport, and the GovSwift website appeared in my search results, presenting itself as a legitimate government website. Based on this representation, I proceeded with the process, completed what was described as the online renewal application, and paid $104.88 using my credit card. The website is structured in a way that leads users to believe the $104.88 fee is applied toward the official passport renewal cost; however, this is not the case. An additional $130.00 fee is still required to complete the renewal through the proper government channels. Overall, the company’s website presents itself in a deceptive and misleading manner, creating the false impression that it is an official government service or directly affiliated with one. The company has declined my request for a refund of $104.88. As a result, I will be escalating this matter to the appropriate channels.
