The Gorilla Safari CompanyReviews of gorillasafaricompany.com

Absolutely loved the trip. From the moment I contacted the Gorilla Safari Company I knew it would be a great trip. Every email I sent, I got a response immediately and even when we set up a phone call, it was prompt. All my questions were answered. Leaving the US I felt confident in my upcoming travels. I would definitely recommend using this company. Sincerely, Sarah Baumann

I can’t rate Donna and Amanda enough. They helped me plan the most incredible 2 weeks in east Africa. They were so easy to contact and had loads of options for me. They sent across all the information I could possibly need prior to the trip and it honestly was invaluable. It even came in useful for other travellers I met that didn’t get half of the information I had from their travel agents. The first week in Tanzania was with ranger safaris. Our guide was incredible and we saw the big 5. All accommodation was excellent and so was the food. It was very well organised and really nice to get her to know all the people we shared our drives with. It was a good mix of ages and nationalities. The gorilla safari in Uganda was out of this world. Staying with ride for a woman was also a highlight. Even if you don’t stay with them I would recommend you visit. It’s a great cause and support for the local community. If you’re looking to buy gifts I’d wait until you visit their shop. You won’t regret it.

We had a fabulous experience in Rwanda and Uganda. Our guide was great and very organized. This made for a perfect safari and vacation!!!

amazing trip. everything was perfectly organized and thought of before we landed. highly recommend.

I have never reviewed a travel company before, but my experience with Gorilla Safari Company was so exceptional, I felt it was necessary to share! From the first contact with Donna for a general enquiry, to a custom tailored safari and gorilla experience for me and my mum, this company was AMAZING. Kate was incredibly knowledgeable and 100% committed to ensuring we had the best experience. She was gracious and patient when we had changes in plans due to a family emergency, and ensured we had a once in a lifetime experience. I have traveled through dozens of countries, and used many many agencies, and I could not recommend anyone more highly than Gorilla Safari Company, and Kate in particular!

I did enjoy this trip. Kevin our driver in Kigali was outstanding!!!! The best I've ever had on tour. The lodge in Bwindi was ok. However the staff was amazing. The hotel in entebbe was not the best.

I'll start by saying that I did have some concerns going due to the recent events in Uganda but once we got there I felt completely safe the entire time. I wouldn't hesitate to go and would encourage anyone thinking about doing this trip to go for it. You won't regret it. The amount of time and effort your company put into planning this trip with us was wonderful. You were so willing to adjust and change our itineraries until we got it just perfect for us and I truly appreciate all your hard work. The trip from start to finish was everything and more than I could have imagined. The driver/guides were prompt, knowledgeable, and most important very personable. I felt like we were with friends. The accommodations were extremely comfortable and the food was delicious. The staff at all our lodges couldn't have been nicer. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied at all times. A massage on my balcony with the sounds of the river in the background was a welcome treat after a long day of trekking. We spent 2 days in Rwanda seeing the sights and then went on to Uganda. I loved the community walk and our visit to the local school in Buhoma was humbling and so special. Our last day I did a city bike tour in Entebbe. It was a fun way to see the city and I felt like I was with a friend instead of a guide. While in Entebbe make sure you stop and try the local snack, a Rolex. It's yummy. And then there were the gorillas. Truly an experience of a lifetime. I did 2 treks and am so thankful I did since they were 2 completely different experiences. They are so gentle and majestic and being so close to them in their environment is something I will never forget. I will definitely use your company again for my next trip to Africa. Thank you for making this a trip of a lifetime!!! Lisa B Ft. Lauderdale, FL USA
