Dear Donna. I returned a week ago today and am still in the clouds from the extraordinary trip you put together for me! I have been singing your praises to all of my friends and encouraging them to consider a trip like this and to do it with you. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for all of the aspects of the trip. Jude, our guide, was wonderful. His knowledge, droll sense of humor, and consideration for the needs of our group were excellent. He went above and beyond the call of duty to track down missing luggage from three of our group when it hadn't shown up for several days (that was the only hitch - the courier service entrusted with getting the luggage to us really dropped the ball - but Jude solved it on his own). The accommodations were really lovely; the staff at Kasenyi and Mahogany Springs were the most kind, considerate, warm and friendly that I've encountered in the past few years that I've started "adventure travel." Kudos to them! I loved the chimpanzee habituation, was SO glad I'd booked two gorilla treks, and enjoyed Ngamba Island and the UWEC. The arrangements for all the activities and transitions to and from airports all went smoothly. As a woman traveling alone, I was most grateful for the attention you have paid to this. I also appreciated that, having changed my flight back to Entebbe from afternoon to morning, you or your company already arranged another activity for me for the afternoon - the wonderful behind the scenes visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center. I had wondered what I would do on my own that afternoon and this was a delightful treat. Your follow-up and follow through were most impressive. As you can see, I was thrilled with my trip! If you have people inquiring about this trip or the services of your company, I would be happy to serve as a reference. After sending emails to several safari companies, I got a PHONE CALL from Donna, in England! The other outfits wrote quick emails that only partially explained their services. Donna and I had great phone conversations in which she helped me decide just what we wanted to do on our trip, how we would do it, who would take care of us and how much it would cost. And she was right about everything she told me. We were picked up by Gilbert, owner of Villa Gorilla, and shown a great time at the Villa and on our treks. Gilbert even arranged for us to have the most asked-for guide, Francois, take us on each of our three gorilla treks! Gilbert's staff gave us five star treatment at a three star price. Villa Gorilla is homey and warm, not pretentious. Gilbert put his resources into making sure we were cared for and fed like royalty. Our drives with him around the country were like touring with a local friend. His arrangements for our monkey and gorilla trekking were the best possible. Thanks Donna and Gilbert for your personal touch!

We ( a group of 9 friends) had an amazing experience with the gorilla safari company in Rwanda. We couldn't hope for a better weather and getting into the jungle and finding a group of 40 gorillas just in front of us was something incredible that cannot be described with words. The warmth of the people in such a beautiful Land just captivated us. Hoping to get there soon again!

A true once in a lifetime experience seeing the gorillas. Donna organized a great trip to Rwanda and it exceeded all my expectations. Highly recommend making the trip and using The Gorilla Safari Company to help organize it.

It is rare when you plan a trip and everything is PERFECT. Our trip to Uganda planned by Donna was excellent. She held our hand and even applied for our Uganda visas for us. She answered our many questions and always followed up on our requests immediately. Working with Donna is a reason to book with Gorilla Safari Company. We have traveled extensively and I have never had a travel agent that followed up so efficiently. She helped choose the right hotels and they were all wonderful. Each hotel was unique. Food was good. Our guide Jude was amazing.!!!!! He made the trip. He is very informative,took excellent care of us and has the eye to finds birds and animals. He is an excellent, careful driver. Donna organised for me a fantastic holiday. From the initial planning steps via email to actually being on holiday, I cannot find a single fault. emails were replied promptly and any questions answered in depth. All the accomodation was more than I could have ever imagined. Everything ran smoothly. All the drivers were very knowledgeable and knew their country so well. I cant rate this company enough,thanks to Donna and The Gorilla Safari Company

I have read all of the reviews (after I returned from my trip!) and there is nothing more to add. I booked with Gorilla Safari because of Donna. She was so responsive and scheduled a custom tour for me. People asked how I booked the tour. It was easy...I didn't shop around..I felt comfortable with Donna and knew she'd create a wonderful experience for me. Everything ran so smoothly. The lodges were fabulous and I can't say enough good things about the people we met. One lodge even through a surprise birthday party for me. I didn't even think they knew it was my birthday! I trekked gorillas 2 days and was glad Donna informed me of the appropriate dress. One guy showed up in Keds and no socks. This was a trip of a lifetime and I thank Donna and The Gorilla Safari for making it perfect.

Hi Donna, I have always planned our family vacations, as well as my recent international trips. This time I decided to turn over the planning to a few safari companies. Your company offered the best options at the best prices, and you listened to my requests more than your competitors. You worked quite diligently to cater the trip to our specific needs and planned a remarkable trip for us. I really want to thank you for putting together an excellent trip. The lodging was top notch, and the locations for those lodges was great. The tour was really amazing. And our tour guide, Jude, was way above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Jude is an excellent wildlife guide and was always on the lookout for something interesting to view. Frequently what he found for us was astounding. We saw leopards running through the scrub, the leopards in trees with kills were great. His ability to see things from great distances, such as lions with kills way off in the distance and seemingly hidden behind mounds or in the grass, is uncanny. And knowing that I am a bird watcher he was constantly finding great birds to show me. He was very interesting to talk and listen to as he told us about the history and cultures of the areas we passed through. He is also a very good driver, preferring a safe trip to a fast trip. He was always on the lookout to satisfy our requests, such as particular local foods that we all wanted. And he was always patient and friendly. We couldn't have done better for a guide. On one of our roads we came to a tree fallen across he road. Jude got out with a panga and chopped at branches until he cleared the road enough for us to pass. I took videos of him at work, going beyond the expected, and will forward those to you soon. Everything about the trip was beyond the expected. Thank you so much, Dennis
