We have just returned from a fantastic 10 days in Uganda. My wife, our 21 year old son and myself all had amazing time, everything we did was very well organized, we didn't have to think or worry about anything from start to finish. Our guide Jude was great, accommodation was great, transport was great, Donna was great, everything was great!! We white water rafted on the Nile, did 1day chimp safari, 2day gorilla trekking and were fortunate to have many close encounters, all was fantastic! Gorilla Safari company seemed to have a real passion for what they do and it showed in the attention to detail and made for a flawless adventure. Thank you again Robert, Catherine and Charlie Bates

We started planning our holiday early in the year and contacted a couple of companies offering gorilla trekking. Donna at The Gorilla Safari Company was by far the most informative, helpful, charming to deal with and most importantly she listened to our needs. The whole way through the booking process, Donna advised us of our choices and kept us constantly up to speed with the chances of getting rooms at the lodges of our choice, permits and even the best available flights. She worked within our budget and closely liaised with her team at Opulent Africa to fulfil our perfect holiday of gorilla trekking in Rwanda and a fabulous week on the beach in Kenya. Our stay in Rwanda was magical. We were extremely fortunate to have a wonderful driver called John who was always there to help us from collecting us at the airport, right through to the end of our stay, he always knew the best places to go to whenever we needed to buy anything and was always happy to take us wherever we wanted to go! He was wonderful, very patient, discreet, and an extremely safe and careful driver. We stayed at Sabyinyo Safari Lodge, a fabulous recommendation from Donna. An extremely comfortable lodge, beautiful rooms, stunning views and wonderful staff, nothing was too much trouble. The lodge is very close to the site where the gorilla groups are allocated which allows for those extra few minutes in bed in the morning!! The gorilla experiences were unbelievable, intimate encounters on both our treks - we were so privileged and very lucky. Our guides were extremely knowledgable and fun and the porters were wonderful and very helpful. This is a once in a lifetime experience, and I couldn't recommend The Gorilla Safari Company enough, to offer a fulfilling and amazing holiday.

Following on from the booking process -on behalf of my MD's- was a dream. Donna and Amanda are effective communicators and no question/query is too small. If you are having trouble with anything you can request advice and they will happily help iron out any kinks. Very organised ladies, like myself I like to know all of the details and due to some of the communication with lodges I was advised to not get in contact with the contacts on there end. Having listened to this advice I was very pleased at the outcome, you can have faith in them both and not interfere with the bookings made on your behalf -they are clearly seasoned pros.

I have no hesitation recommending this company. I did a lot of research before booking this trip and Donna from the Gorilla Safari Company was just so knowledgeable and helpful I had absolute confidence in my trip which exceeded my expectations. All the staff in Rwanda were just amazing and couldn't do enough to help you. Thank you so much.

My wife and I can not speak highly enough about Gorilla Safari Company's organization and arrangement of our recent trek in Rwanda. I reached out with my initial request for information and had a reply within 30 minutes. Over the course of the next week as I solidified my own availability I reached out to Gorilla Safari Company at least 5 times and each time I had a reply within a couple hours. One of those replies occurred around 4am! (as I was up late working) Everything promised was exactly as described. Our driver, Ismael was on time, courteous and a careful driver. He advocated for us on which trek to have and was pleasant company during the drive to and from Kigali. I am one of a couple other folks who have used Gorilla Safari Company and we all have had the exact same wonderful experience. Book here with confidence!

From start to finish, Donna and her team went above and beyond to make our trip to Rwanda the trip of a lifetime. We paid less than we would have by booking each activity and accommodation on our own, and had someone there to support us, answer any questions, and make last minute arrangements. What a fantastic trip Donna and her colleagues put together for me! From start to finish all went very smoothly and my lodgings at Villa Gorilla were perfect! It is not a luxury resort but has all you need and the staff and food and general effort everyone goes to is amazing and all that matters! Please remember you are not paying luxury prices and if you want that then you will need to pay $1000 per night! No need though - stay at Villa Gorilla and Gad and Gilbert amongst others will look after you. The actual trek was amazing and very well organised. From the start I felt very at home and at ease and the Apes were so chilled with us. We were literally 2m away from them all the time and although they were napping and eating it was still a magical time and a trip of a lifetime for me. I travelled alone and I was met at the airport by John who also dropped me back and this is all included. You must visit the Genocide museum first straight away I would suggest off the plane as although it is tough, it gives you a real insight into what happened and prepares you for the trip. Rwanda is by far the friendliest place I have ever visited and I have been many places. The recovery by the people in the last 20 years is nothing short of remarkable and is a must visit. You should make this visit with the help of Donna and her team and I guarantee you will be very well looked after! Thanks Donna! James Wilson
