I experienced more with this trip than I was expecting. There was never a dull moment. From the beginning to the end there was always something to see, hear, learn & experience & the photos I was exposed to were second to none which made coming home to share with family & friends priceless. The lodges were fantastic. I had a home away from home but in Uganda style which is something that I will treasure for a long time. The food was great with plenty of choices to make every meal a rewarding one. The people I encountered were friendly with warm smiles and caring personalities along with their professionalism which really made my stay special. Even walking around the lodges was a unique experience. Beauty everywhere. Our guide (Jude) was the best that I have ever been with. Jude is very special as he made sure that every moment was special for us along this adventure. His expertise, knowledge, experience, sense of humour and in our case mediator made our trip special and memorable. His driving skills regarding safety were the best I have ever encountered. Jude made sure we saw everything that we were hoping to see and experience. In short I will just say thank you for making this adventure very special and very gratifying. All of the excursions went as scheduled with no problems or any disappointments. Very well coordinated and planned with precision. We enjoyed a superb 8 day safari in Uganda. The customer service prior to our trip was excellent - thankyou Amanda. Jude, our guide in Uganda, made sure the trip went smoothly. His driving and wildlife spotting skills were fabulous and he was patient and good humoured throughout. The animals (gorillas, chimps, tree climbing lions, hippos etc) were of course the highlight but we also enjoyed the community visits. The people of Uganda were genuinely welcoming. The accommodation was of a high standard throughout, with each lodge having its own distinctive style. The food exceeded our expectations, with all tastes catered for. We would certainly recommend The Gorilla Safari Company to anyone planning a trip to this part of Africa.

We went on a safari with the gorilla safari company in October and had an absolutely fabulous time. Our guides were so thoughtful, so knowledgeable, and attuned to the needs of the group. We loved the facilities that we stayed in and I would highly recommend the gorillas safari company!

Gorilla safari company did an absolutely wonderful job of helping me plan my trip to Rwanda and to see the mountain gorillas. They were responsive, friendly, helpful, and they’re on the ground staff were superb. My guide and driver for the four days I was there was instrumental in making sure I had an absolutely amazing time.

Really amazing adventure. Recommend as a experience of a lifetime. Lodge was superior. Bring warm clothes or layers as you are in the mountains.

A great 12 day safari trip in Uganda. We had quite a few rare sightings and very good chimpanzee and gorilla interactions. Very good places to stay and was very well treated by everyone and was a very stress free experience. Amanda for booking and Ismail for a guide were top notch.

Wonderful experience, even for active seniors!

We booked with the Gorilla Safari Company after the tour group we normally travel with couldn't accommodate our request for two gorilla treks, we had left it quite late to book a trip over Christmas so I wasn't expecting any one else to be able to accommodate us. Not so - I spoke with Donna and asked if it might be possible and she came back the same day confirming it would ( the 'other ' company took a week to tell us no!). From the initial phone call to the follow up afterwards everything went perfectly. Donna and Amanda were able to answer all our questions and give us confidence that they knew what they were talking about as they had been to all the places and could speak from experience. They provided all the info required before the trip. The trip itself was fabulous, from the moment we were met at the airport by Christine to being dropped off by David everything went smoothly. The itinerary covered everything we wanted with a highlight every day, the accommodation was lovely and as we were travelling low season ( over Christmas?) the lodges weren't full and we got great service from all the staff. The highlights were the birds and animals and we were fortunate to have Jude as our guide. He was just FABULOUS, eyes like binoculars, incredibly knowledgeable about the birds and animals and endlessly patient as we took photos and asked for the names of birds (again & again!). He took time to find out what we were interested in or liked and then went out of his way to accommodate us. He really made our trip something special. We were fortunate that we saw everything we wanted to and often more than once ( 3 Shoebills, 2 leopards, lots of lions, hippos etc and of course the fabulous gorillas). Anyone with the slightest interest in birds will love the trip too - we saw well over 150 different birds. The gorilla treks were at the end of our trip (Christmas day and Boxing day) and were an amazing experience both times. I had done a bit of training beforehand for the hills and I'm very pleased that I did as it enhanced the whole experience. All in all we had just the best time. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Gorilla Safari and would say to anyone considering going to Uganda to see the gorillas, just go!
