The Gorilla Safari CompanyReviews of gorillasafaricompany.com

The trip was perfect! Everything ran very smoothly. The properties were beautiful, the people friendly and helpful and the food fantastic. The Company is super knowledgeable so everything was exactly as represented. Worth every penny. I have done extensive world travel and this is as good as it gets. I would use the Company to travel anywhere in the world!

The Bwindi gorilla trek was a truly memorable experience. Donna and Amanda were easy to work with and we felt well taken care of during our trip. Thank you!

This was without doubt my favourite place I have visited, the gorilla trekking experience, which truly is a wow moment with the chimpanzee trek a very close second will never be forgotten, the trip to Lake Mburo national park another highlight with probably the best wild life experience in one day that I've experienced, a good standard of accommodation with friendly staff in all locations, Uganda is a lush beautiful country, can't believe more people don't visit in April time, but shouldn't complain as it meant there was no crowding at any of the places we went to, a big thank you to all at The Gorilla safari company, everything from the initial phone call was excellent and especially to Ismail our guide who took care of us, a great guy that is so knowledgeable about his country and the amazing creatures that live within it.

This trip was a dream of mine and I wasn’t disappointed. My husband was hesitant to go, but once there, he thought it was the best vacation he had ever taken. Seeing the gorillas and chimpanzees was the most amazing thing I have ever done. Africa is beautiful and our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Our guide, Ismael, was wonderful and it was nice to get to know our fellow travelers, who were very friendly and funny and made our trip even better. If I ever have the opportunity to go again, I wouldn’t hesitate. The Gorilla Safari Company helped us every step of the way in planning our trip, as my husband and I had never traveled this far before. An awesome experience!!

We visited Uganda in early February and can recommend the Gorilla Safari Company unreservedly. They planned our itinerary and organised all our tours and transport. In retrospect, I wouldn't change a thing. We spent one night in Entebbe and then flew to Murchison Falls where we spent 2 nights at the Paraa Lodge, a lovely hotel on the Nile. We saw a lot of game, including leopards, and lions. Our tour included a boat trip down the Nile to Murchison Falls where we sighted many hippos, elephants and crocodiles. Our guide Ischmael was excellent. We then flew to Kibale Forest National Park where we had a wonderful sighting of chimpanzees. They were all on the ground near us and it was a marvellous experience. We then driven by an excellent new guide, Ahmed, to Ishasha in Queen Elizabeth Park and were fortunate to spot a tree climbing lion as well as buffalo and other game. We then drove to Bwindi where we stayed at the Mahogany Springs Lodge, a beautiful lodge in a wonderful setting. The highlight of the safari came the next day when we visited the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and encountered a gorilla family after about 1.5 hours walking. It was an amazing experience. We were quite close to them for an hour and they did not even seem to notice us. We flew back to Entebbe the following day. We have wanted to do this trip for many years, and we are really grateful to the Gorilla Safari Company for making it possible. We felt very safe and secure at all times and all our needs were catered for, including my numerous dietary issues. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I recently returned from a Safari in Uganda with my whole family using the gorilla safari company. We had the time of our lives. We were doing a dental mission trip to Uganda and wanted to include a safari. The entire trip was spectacular, and the Safari was wonderful. My Whole family was thrilled. I didn’t really expect to get that close to the animals or just see so many animals . Our guide Amos was friendly, informative, and really good at his job. We had no complaints, and this was probably the best trip I’ve ever taken, and I travel a lot. I Would highly level recommend this company and plan to use them again in the future.

Our trip with Gorilla Safari Company was fantastic. Our guide was great as were the accommodations. The company was so nice to work with in arranging our tour. We would highly recommend them and hope to do more with them in the future.

Donna and Amanda listened to us when we expressed our desires and needs about going on our first trip to Africa--and they delivered. We were especially grateful that they were able to add a gorilla trek to our tight itinerary. They were also great about being accessible for any questions and concerns. We will go to Africa again--and use their company.
