Paid £4.95 for 500 coins which should have seen me finish a book - those coins were used up in about 3 chapters. I wrote to the company to complain - sending four emails - not one reply. Don’t download this app - it’s terrible and will bleed you dry!

The problem is some stories catch you and you start reading. CHAPTERS are nothing more than a paragraph and you pay in coins to read each one which cost £$. Some are quick reads but most “authors” and I use the term loosely drag out stories and plots to gain more and money at the cost of readers. NO real author would do such a thing, they would be grateful to publish on a platform to get their name known etc. one off cost would be fine, or even a few smaller ones that maybe run to £25 mark for a book ( which is still really expensive) but IT IS HUNDREDS OF £££!!!! ROSA KANE probably one of the worst “authors” for doing this. Avoid !!! Avoid !!! Go by a book or download by genuine authors!!!

If you are willing to spend ~$50 on a poorly written romance thriller, then use this app! It literally bleeds you dry with its coin system. Also, writer’s editor’s are not required to proofread a book (if the writer even has an editor). The app encourages writers to use Grammarly or similar methods to proof their writing. The final straw with this app was a book where it was obvious the author did not use grammarly, nor did she use a basic spellcheck. I spent way too much time rereading sentences that were garbled and made no sense. Honestly, don’t download or use this app!

Title: What a Scam I started with 2,200 coins, and I’m already on chapter 53 with barely 75 coins left. Chapters cost an average of 18 to 35 coins, depending on the number of pages, but not a single chapter so far has had more than 12 pages. Most of the time, there’s nothing on the last page, and other pages are flooded with ads that take up space. This is nothing but another scam. And if you do the math quickly, using 30 coins per chapter for 53 chapters, that comes to 1,590 coins. So I’ve clearly had coins stolen from me… And the most ridiculous part is that now I’m being offered the option to download the rest of the book for 8,500 coins, which I’m really not sure about, and it would cost me $90! I already paid $15 at the beginning for 2,000 coins, and now they expect me to pay another $90 to finish reading the book… Are people really stupid enough to pay over $100 just to read a book?? This app is designed to rip people off!!!

Every page you read, NOT chapter, page, cost you coins! You can buy a subscription but that only comes with x amount of coins so you’ll have to purchase more coins if you want to continue reading..It’s absolutely ridiculous! After paying for a subscription, you should, at the very least, get to finish the book you’ve started!

One of five stars is generous. I started reading a novel and wanted to finish it so I purchased a weekly subscription, only to realise later that I still needed to buy extra coins. It turns out the book is never ending so I’ve decided to stop now, rather than spend over $100 just on one novel. Considering you can get an audio book for £7.99. What this App charges seems like a rip off.
