BE CAREFUL! For a beautiful site with a large selection of frames and lenses are hidden crooks!
30.12.12 - ordered glasses for $208.95 with EMS express delivery.
05.01.13 - received confirmation:
"Your Order [858K81304246-984Y] was Sent on 1/4/2013.
The Shipping Method used for this Order: International - U.S.P.S. Express Mail [All Other Countries]
Your Tracking Number for this Order (if available): EC209772475US"
A month has passed. The track is not updated. I wrote to the USPS, and they immediately (it is important!) confirmed that the parcel did not received.
06.02.13 - I wrote letters to all of the available e-mails with the request to investigate.
07.02.13 - first useless answer:
"I will forward this email to the proper department, they will be able to assist you further with your inquiry."
02/08/13 - one more useless answer:
"I have forwarded a request to our Shipping Department to contact the USPS for an update on your missing package. Once they update us we will inform you of the status of delivery. Thank you for your patience."
14/02/13 - once again write a letter reminding. I attached the USPS's answer that they have not received the parcel.
14/02/13 - and more:
"We apologize for the delay in the response. It appears the USPS is currently researching this matter is we're still waiting for them to get back to us. We will contact them today to see if we have anymore information we can give to you about this shipment."
21/02/13 - and more:
"Our Order's Department filed a claim with USPS. Once we hear back from them, we will advise you. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, your patience is appreciated."
Passing through another month. I remind you that USPS answered me within a few hours.
16/03/13 - once again write a reminding letter. No answer.
Total spent $ 208.95, 72 days, a gift (glasses) is not obtained.
I'm paid by card (the other options were not), so no leverage with them not :(
Be careful!

SHOULD HAVE KNOWN!
I read the reviews about their bad service but I needed replacement glasses and this website was the only one that had them. I did receive my frames early, but they sent me the wrong color so now I have to go another 2 weeks without frames.

Terrible, deceitful. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
They took my order with overnight shipping charges for something that was supposed to be in stock. 20 days later still not glasses...."still processing". When I demanded answers, they said the glasses are finally off back order and will take another 10 days to process.
Essentially, they are liars, rude, and arrogant, and will insult a person's intelligence with their polite but totally unhelpful responses.
BUYER BEWARE: If you rely on prescription glasses, don't purchase from these crooks.

AWFUL
I ordered frames on Dec 29 and paid to have 2 day delivery (because I am leaving the country for 3 months on Jan 6). On Jan 3 I still didn't have them so checked online and it said "still processing." I called gooptic and was told "It's processing but I can't tell where they are." So basically he told me there is a 5 day processing time BEFORE the 2 day ship time. That is RIDICULOUS!!! It was not clearly stated on the website. Now I will have no glasses for THREE months that I am out of the country. If I knew this, I would have bought from a different company. I am FURIOUS!!!!!!

incompetent shippers and customer care.
Bought glasses for my cousin b-day now its gonna be to late. Was suppose to get my item today but never did. played phone tag with fedex and go-optic. spoke to Lorrie from go-optic she said it was shipped. obvious she did not check or look at shipping status. turns out when i call back to fedex, they told me that they never gave the package to fedex, and only put in the information of the package but never sent it out. who ever is running that ship at go-optic.com needs to get fired alot of bad reviews. i would not buy from them again. probably call my bank to get my money back if i don't get my glasses.

DO NOT BUY FROM GO OPTIC
10% restocking fee for an order that has not even been taken from the shelf. RIP OFF.... the order said in process, not shipped and I still paid a 10% restocking fee. THERE WAS NOTHING TO RESTOCK.

Crooks, cheats, frauds, and robbers. That's what you get when you do business with gooptic.com
I was quite please at first to have found an online optical store with the exact frames I wanted and for such a great price! Ordering was a breeze and I received my glasses in the mail 10 days later. When I opened the box, I immediately tried them on. I could see clear as a bell. That night I took them off, put them in the case and went to bed. The next day, I put the glasses on and, through the natural light from the window, thought I was looking through a big smudge that was in fact a scratch the size of my pinky finger finger print. It looked as though someone had taken a metal nail file ever so lightly to it. Since I in no way every dropped them or ran into a wall (or nail file) and I had put them back in the case for the night, I knew the scratch had to have come from the factory.
I called customer service and told them my dilemma. The lady was very rude to me and actually hung up on me when I asked her why I should have to pay shipping for her company's carelessness with my lenses! I called her back and asked for her manager and she would not oblige. I ended up having to pay postage to send my glasses back to go-optic.com as they do not provide a return shipping label. The woman I spoke to told me I could contact their finance department and get that credited back to my account, but as of yet my issue has not been resolved.
I got my glasses back after repairs, and for a second time, opened the box, and while the old scratch was gone, there are now two new scratches on the other lens! I immediately put the glasses back into the case. I immediately called their customer service again. The girl was very nice and tried to get me some compensation for my trouble. Three days later, she called me back only to tell me that her managers would not oblige. Not only that, they REFUSE to fix the scratches on my glasses saying that they could assure me that the glasses left the factory with no scratches on them the second time around. (Bull!) If that were so, then why do I have scratches on my lenses? Surely USPS didn't open up my box and put those scratches on there, and I most certainly did no such thing either!
So now, my options are: keep a pair of scratched glasses that I paid over $220.51 + shipping (twice) for or return the glasses without recouping 100% of my expenses...they only give back 50% of lens cost and charge a 15% restocking fee for the frames. To add more insult to injury, I have tried wearing my new glasses now for 30 minutes, and the glare is so bad it's almost like seeing double when I look at the clock on the cable receiver that is not even 10 feet away. Not only that, I started feeling sick and nauseous with a headache, so I put them back in the case, into the box that they were delivered, and put my old glasses on. I re-read their return policy and I'm pretty much screwed unless I want to invest 50% more into the lenses plus more shipping to give them yet another chance to fix my glasses now the I know the prescription is bad. The prescription was not like this the first initial time I opened the box. It's as if they re-cut both lenses just to fix the first scratch.
Scam scam scam is written all over this company. Tomorrow I will go to my optician and have them write up a formal document saying that my glasses do not match the prescription. I will then fax the document to gooptic.com and to my credit card company. I'll be filing a police report accusing gooptic.com of conducting fraudulent business. If you want professionalism in an online optic store, don't go to go-optic.com. If you don't think it's too much to ask for the company to get your glasses right the first time and at most the second time without attitude and without extra shipping charges for something that you, the customer did not cause, then go somewhere else other than gooptic.com. I went with gooptic.com in the first place because they had the frames I wanted, and I would have had to open up a new line of credit to get my frames at Lens Crafters. Hopefully no one reads this review and thinks I'm some Negative Nancy who complains about everything. That's really not the case. This is by far THE WORST I've ever been treated by a company that I have been a patron to. I liken this experience to the time my husband was in Afghanistan and the locals at the market on the FOB sold him a POS phone for an arm and a leg only to have it not work and then they wouldn't compensate him or try to fix his phone. In other words, doing business with gooptic.com is like doing business in third-world country. So...buy on their site, I dare you, but you have been warned!" If you are Go Optic and you are reading this, be warned: I will continue to be a thorn in your side until I see a reimbursement of $228.46 ($220.51 + shipping) put back on my credit card.

Scam!
Do not order from this company!!
I ordered two pairs of sunglasses. Later in the day they said they did not have one pair in stock. With shipping, the pair they did have was overpriced. I cancelled the whole order, which they had not even sent out and was still charged 10% cancellation charge. This is a scam!
