I broke the earpiece on my Izod 768 prescription sunglasses. The optical store where I bought them said that frame was discontinued so they couldn't replace either the broken earpiece or the entire frame. But with the help of Go-optic it look like I can at least replace the frame itself and then get an optician to put my lenses in them. So I figure this saved me about $200 because I can reuse my progressive lenses. Still feel pretty dumb for breaking them, though.

Their price match policy is a bit annoying since they overprice everything they have by 15% and then offer daily 15% off coupons... and use that as a way to protect from price matching since if they DO price match, the other retailer can't have coupons applied and they don't let you use that 15% off coupon on the price matched offer. All that said, they have the frames I used on my previous glasses and at a decent discount over what I expect I would pay in a retail store. Also, they try to upsell you on poly lenses or other lens materials if you contact them (or that's what they did to me). The basic CR39 plastic is all you need IF you have a prescription ~2.0 or less. In fact, it's actually better - since it has a higher ABBE value, very close to real glass. So if you don't have a strong prescription, just go with CR39 - I added an anti-glare coating on top of it which has anti-scratch and UV protection added. Hope that helps!
