Customer service is horrid! They don't listen, don't completely resolve my problem, so I have to call back repeatedly. I hold for a very long time, with the same music, not checking back. The option for a call back doesn't work. Very frustrated.

Glowforge Pro is a terrible machine
Glowforge Pro is a terrible machine, what a waste of $8k with the laser and air filtration system. The reviews on their website are filtered for only good ones, do not listen to them.
Their laser interface is so incredibly bad, be willing to throw away material like its toilet paper. Cuts are always off, the camera system does not focus, and the laser itself has 0% consistency with cuts and engraving. Yes, all of the proper cleaning is done on a highly frequent basis.
It on the other hand is a very pretty machine if you are looking for aesthetics only.

Subpar in every way! Non existent customer service!
Glowforge's marketing videos showcase their products exceptionally well; however, our experience with their machinery has fallen short of expectations. Despite the enticing demonstrations, the actual performance of the equipment is subpar in various aspects. Even executing simple and rudimentary designs or projects, akin to those demonstrated in their tutorials, demands an exorbitant amount of time, rendering the machine essentially impractical.
Prior to our purchase, we diligently reviewed the terms and conditions, which suggested a possibility of returning the product with a restocking fee of up to 15%. Regrettably, after nearly a week of attempting to communicate with Glowforge and escalating the issue, their responses were sporadic and evasive. They seemed to employ tactics to dissuade returns, and only after involving American Express did they offer a return option, albeit with a restocking fee of 30% plus a $99 shipping charge.
This entire experience has been deeply disappointing, characterized by poor customer service and a product that fails to meet even basic expectations of functionality and quality.

I would never recommend a Glowforge…
I would never recommend a Glowforge laser. The company is aware of hardware issues, as well as awful customer service. Instead of working on this, they choose to spend all of their money on advertising their lasers. The price recently went up, and it doesn't compare to any of the other lasers in the same price range. There's an issue with the wiring, and the new lasers that they sell still have this issue. When the customer complains that the new laser isn't working, the company sends them a refurbished one. Our expensive laser barely lasted the warranty period. Their answer to all issues is that you either purchase an extended warranty from them, or pay another 1500-1700 for a refurbished laser. That one only has a few month warranty, too. Beware!

Don't Buy a Glowforge - You Will Regret It (From A Former User)
The Glowforge Basic is an awful machine. I've experienced issue after issue with it. I'm constantly taking it apart and putting it back together with all of its problems. The machine itself is built with poor materials, the lid came off its hinges after a couple of months, etc. It also gives error messages that have nothing to do deal with the real issue. I will never buy another product associated with this company. I'm disgusted I spent the money on the printer and on the filter. DO NOT BUY!

My Glowforge Aura ended up in the…
My Glowforge Aura ended up in the dumpster after the first one was dead out of the box, the second one would lose its calibration during every project costing me a lot of money on their "proofgrade" $20.00 boards. The thing would mis-cut, it hardly ever cut though the material completely, and it had so many random errors that caused the machine to just stop during the middle of the project. Glowforge won't give you refunds, just replacements. Mine ended up in the bottom of a dumpster as this was a very expensive lesson learned. I will never ever ever purchase a single product with the Glowforge name on it again. I honestly see ton's of lawsuits in their future.

Hidden practices and fees
I just got the Glowforge Aura for christmas. After spending $1500 for the machine, Glowforge wants to take the full yearly amount for the premium subscription before the trial period even ends. When you validate a credit card during a trial period, you take a $1 not the full amount. The monthly fee of $50 is super expensive so the discounted yearly fee is way more attractive. Most people buying the Aura are small home businesses or personal home users. We don't have an influx of cash to drop like that. Also, before purchasing, finding the out about these cost is not made available with ease. Hating I bought this machine now. I have not even had a chance to try the machine. I also have to now find money to buy materials to use with the machine.

I've had my machine for over a year now…
I've had my machine for over a year now with no real problems there's plenty of YouTube for how to use and workaround issues. I've found the machine easy to use and most importantly made quite a bit of money from it once I discovered the best market's for my products. The one thing that makes me angry is the premium subscription charge for basic functions which fortunately can be worked around and the fact it has to be connected to the Internet is a huge mistake. Apart from this the machine has worked well and pays for its self. Also Trotec if in the UK is the place to go for your wood needs.
