Try other places first. They messed something up when they test drove my car and didn't take responsibility and then reduced my offer. I either had to decline the offer and pay out of pocket to fix it or take the reduced offer. They talked about integrity and honestly and reputation but left me with 2 bad options from their mistake. Bad experience you're definitely better off trying the other companies first and going here as a last resort

I’m writing this review after a very…
I’m writing this review after a very disappointing and frankly upsetting experience with GiveMeTheVIN.com as a transport carrier. I’ve worked with multiple brokers and shippers over the years, and I can say without hesitation that this company stands out—in all the wrong ways.
From the very beginning, the tone and attitude from their staff were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Communication felt more like dealing with someone who thought they were doing me a favor rather than a business partner in a mutually beneficial relationship. Simple questions about the load, pickup details, or payment terms were met with impatience or sarcasm, and at times I was spoken to like I was an inconvenience instead of the person actually moving their vehicles.
The way they post transport jobs on Central Dispatch is another major issue. They put out loads with demands and expectations that are completely out of line with the rates they offer. The pay is terrible compared to industry standards, especially considering the requirements they pile on—tight schedules, specific instructions, and zero flexibility. It feels like they expect carriers to bend over backwards for bottom-of-the-barrel compensation.
As a newer carrier working with them, I was treated especially poorly. Instead of offering clear guidance or basic respect, they talked down to me, questioned everything, and made it seem like I should be grateful just to be dealing with them. There was no sense of partnership, no willingness to listen, and absolutely no appreciation for the fact that carriers are the ones who actually make their business possible by physically moving the vehicles.
The overall attitude I encountered was: “Take it or leave it.” If you push back on their low rates or unreasonable demands, you’re met with hostility or indifference. There was no attempt to find a fair middle ground or even acknowledge concerns. It felt like they were used to carriers just accepting whatever they throw out, and when you don’t, they treat you like you’re the problem.
I walked away from my experience feeling disrespected and mistreated. I was spoken to horribly, my time wasn’t valued, and my professionalism as a driver and carrier was completely ignored. No one should have to tolerate that kind of treatment just to do business.
Drivers beware. In fact, anyone considering doing business with this company—whether you’re a carrier, driver, or otherwise—should think twice. Between the rude staff, horrible rates, and the way they treat new carriers, I cannot recommend working with GiveMeTheVIN.com in any capacity. My experience was very negative, and I would strongly caution others before getting involved with them.

I really enjoy their YouTube content but...
I really enjoy their YouTube content and was hoping for a lot more from this company. Instead, I submitted all the required info for my older classic car and waited five days for an offer that was half what comparable cars are actually selling for. It felt like a total waste of time. I already sold it privately for close to asking price, but even if I hadn't, why bother with these clowns? I have a few other classics I was considering selling, but I'm not touching these guys with a ten-foot pole.

Horrible experience
Horrible experience. We are selling our truck and received a $9k offer from give me the vin. We passed as Carvana would give us $18,200. The next day Nick texted my husband and offered $16k. Upon Nicks request, we sent him the bid from Carvana and he said he would see what he could get. We told him it would be going to auction on Bidbus but to let us know. Today he texted and asked if a photo was from a dealer. Husband told him no but truck was going on auction in a couple hours so we appreciated his time. “Nick” thinks because it was going to auction that we are dealers. We are just trying to sell our truck and he doesn’t know his competitors as Bid Bus puts it on a 2 hour auction for us. This guy was out of control. Don’t waste your time.
Here’s a cut/paste of the text:
Nick “What are talking about auction? | was just asking a question that my boss asked. We will go ahead and just pass if you want to be rude, thank your for your time.”
Husband: Perfect! No more responses or requests, lose my number, please.
Nick: Thanks.I am assume you are a dealer, and just got caught lying because the truck is on the lot, and you spoke about auction, Carvana does buy car from dealers, but keep doing a good job on hitting the numbers. Hopefully your day get better or someone changes your mood.
So Nick accused us of lying, doesn’t know his competitors hold auctions and loses a customer for life and gets a bad review. Hopefully your day gets better Nick!

Zero stars
Zero stars. GiveMeTheVin uses a classic bait-and-switch system. Their online submission form explicitly asks you to disclose accident history. I checked the box honestly, and their system generated an offer that I accepted. Afterward, they text you a much lower price, claiming their 'automated system doesn't factor in accident history.' When I pushed back with screenshot proof, the CEO John Clay Wolfe emailed me directly with rude customer service, stating 'we don't like the car you're trying to sell us' and hid behind fine print. If you want an honest transaction with a company that honors its own forms, go to Carvana or CarMax instead.

We’re genuinely sorry this experience was frustrating and that our communication left you with a negative impression of us.
You were upfront about the vehicle having accident history, and we appreciate that. The issue we encountered later was the salvage title, which wasn’t reflected in the information we received with the original submission. Unfortunately, that can have a significant impact on a vehicle’s value and changed what we were able to offer.
Our online estimate is an approximate range based on the information available at the time, as explained on our FAQ page, but we understand how disappointing it is to receive a lower offer after expecting something different.
We also regret that our communication added to your frustration. Regardless of the circumstances, we always want people to feel they’ve been treated with respect. We appreciate the feedback and wish you the best.

Do not honour their $100 price match…
Do not honour their $100 price match guarantee. Avoid - Shady. Dealt with JB Greer - he refused to pay the price match, claiming it was a fake offer.
Response from givemethevin.comMay 21, 2026
We’re sorry to hear you felt disappointed with your experience. Our $100 guarantee is absolutely something we stand behind, but it does require a valid in-store offer, giving GiveMeTheVIN the opportunity to beat that offer before the vehicle is sold, and a copy of the final Bill of Sale if you choose to sell elsewhere.
In this case, the offer we received could not be verified, which is why the claim was not approved. That said, we never want anyone to feel dismissed or unheard, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We’re always happy to review any additional documentation if there was a misunderstanding.
