What U Giv.comReviews of giv.com

As all of the above: Received a notice for renewal of my .com - not registered with them, not hosted with them, and the "renewal" process on giv.com appears to be just sending them money with no user identification or other information. A scam for less technical and easily scared people.

I received a letter from this company which I have never heard of. The letter says "as a courtesy to domain name holders, we are sending you this notification of the domain name registration that is due to expire in the next few months. When you switch today to Domain Registry, you can take advantage of our best savings. Your registration for xxx.com will expire on May 29, 2021. Act today! You must renew your domain to retain exclusive rights to it on the Web..., failure to renew your domain name by the expiration date may result in a loss of your online identity making it difficult for your customers..." Wonder how this company knew my domain is coming due. I am with Go Daddy. I was confused when I first received this letter. Then I checked my account on line. I do have auto-renew set up with Go Daddy. To obtain or steal people's account info without consent is a Scam. People should never trust this company

Called about switching and the sales rep hung up on me. WOW terrible company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

They send physical lettermail to people saying their domain is going to expire if they don't renew. By using lettermail they're clearly targeting less technical domain owners (i.e. small businesses) who don't understand how domains work. Their prices are literally 5x the price of other registrars. There is no reason anybody should use them even if they are in fact telling the truth (which I'm skeptical of - there are reports that people who paid never even got the service).

This company is horrible. I called this morning... they don’t even deserve one star they actually deserve about a -100 I called them regarding a letter I received about our domain name as my father was ill and I wasn’t sure if they were actually the owner of the domain name I was calmly starting to read him the letter and he said yes and if we didn’t renew it we would lose our domain name and I said can you answer a couple questions for me he started talking over me and then he came right out and said you’re too stupid to understand the letter and he hung up on me. I hope the Better Business Bureau is looking into them

Customer service is a joke. I called to get a refund as i don't use there service and payment was made to them in error. I received a rude lecture on how to describe my reason to ask for refund!! I as a business will NEVER use there services!! and recommend the same!

Shady business practices! This company sent my client a letter saying they were going to lose their .com domain if they didn't renew with them. Their domain isn't even hosted with them! These shady sales and marketing tactics are duping people who aren't fully up to speed on how websites and domains work. Not sure how this is allowed. Save your postage money and stop doing this.

Tried to scam my client. Will report to the authority.
