We are sorry to read about your experience. We would gladly help you with any advsie or tips in using your card. It looks like the card was used at a gas pump initially, which usually locks up the card with a pre-authorization by the gas station. It's advisable in the future(with any gift card) to use the card at the cashier and not at the pump. This may have contributed to the declined transactions at Safeway.
