I called the phone number for Ghostwriter Planet in Oct. or Nov of 2025 and was told they use American writers. No they use indian imports with American names. I am still waiting on the book or my money back. I will use AI before I would ever use this outfit again. They use at least 3 payment processing outfits. Don't tell you that shit till you see a strange charge on your credit card statement. They tried to screw me over on a double charge that I had to go to the cc company to get my credit. They hate to give a refund. Biggest mistake of my publishing journey was hiring this outfit. STAY AWAY!! I am getting my lawyer on their ass next week along with contacting the Attorney General, BBB, Chamber of Commerce

I gave a 4 star overall because the beginning of my experience was rough and I know it was because of the rep who was originally assigned to me. I was assigned my new rep, Carl. My experience became exponentially better. Not only was the communication better, but it was more frequent and far less complicated and frustrating. I no longer felt alone in my publishing experience, it was no longer a guessing game of "what's next". Because of this, I have gained 3 valuable insights into the way I move forward in my author's journey. 1. Ask questions, even if they seem silly, that's what your rep is there for. 2. A good editor means everything! Thank you, Maureen! 3. Read and re-read your manuscript, know it inside and out, save copies, and make sure you have someone in your circle of friends/family to bounce ideas off. I would recommend Wordsmith Publishers for new authors who have no idea where to start and need a bit of help to navigate all of the aspects you need to understand to get your book successfully published.

JAMES W. OSMOND I want to share my strong and genuine review of Merriam Publishing and specifically the publishing direction led by Carl Anderson as he introduces Ghost Writers Planet—and I can say without hesitation that this team is built on professionalism, creativity, and serious respect for writers. From the very beginning, the communication was clear, organized, and timely. The publishing team demonstrated a real understanding of the writing business—what authors need, what the market expects, and how to execute plans that protect the writer while still producing high-quality work. Ghost Writers Planet feels like a purpose-driven company with a clear vision, and you can tell they work with intention, not guesswork. One of the most impressive qualities is their kind and professional nature. They don’t treat authors like numbers. Instead, they listen, ask the right questions, and offer guidance that actually helps the project move forward. Their approach is supportive and firm at the same time—professional standards with human respect. Most importantly, they are budget-aware and practical. They understand that authors often have limits, and they work with you in a way that feels fair and transparent. They can help you plan your publishing path without pressuring you into decisions that don’t make sense financially. That balance—quality plus budgeting—shows real integrity and strong business leadership. If you are looking for a publishing team that delivers structure, kindness, and results, Merriam Publishing / Carl Anderson / Ghost Writers Planet is an excellent choice. I truly recommend them to writers who want their work handled with care, professionalism, and fairness. Overall Rating ★★★★★ JAMES W. OSMOND

Very professional. Very happy with the company. Our contact, Carl, was warm and friendly. He answered all of our questions promptly and in a language we could understand. Everything I had asked for, Carl made happen in a timely manner. We were extremely happy with their artwork. We would recommend these folks to others looking for a publishing company.

What I found helpful was the friendliness at the beginning when the first contact was made. I didn't feel pressured and all my questions were answered. I have to admit I wasn't sure what I needed to know beforehand but I believe their guidance was genuine and caring. Each step of the way was explained, but the only thing I would recommend, is to be clear on how much the cost will be in the big picture and how it is broken down. Then you can plan accordingly. The quality of service was excellent and thorough. I had many doubts along the way, but Carl was very patient and very, very helpful. The process went smoothly as I look back and so far the product coming out is good. A few glitches with corrections but all can be fixed. The illustrations are fantastic! Marketing is going to be great and the real test will be when the website is up and running and the books get listed on Amazon and Barnes and Noble and any other platforms that will promote my book. Also the encouragement to do a second book has been positive. Kudos to my team!

I got three creative non-fiction books written by Ghostwriter’s Planet, and after reviewing these books, I was pretty shocked to see the quality as per the price. I have more books on the way for these guys. I'd highly recomend them to anyone looking for ghostwriting services.
