When trying to adopt a dog, I would respond same day to the dog appearing, and either not receive a response or be told the pet was gone (within hours of appearing as available) When I finally did meet a dog, I told the person that I wanted to bring her to my vet to be sure she was spayed and healthy. They said, "Fine". When I picked her up to take her for her appointment, they submitted a claim that I adopted her and deactivated their account. I kept her, but she's been a challenge.

The exchange was a night in a parking lot of a mall, they were already to surrender her. Didn’t have all the paperwork, But it worked out in the end. But for vet check and benefits really didn’t help us we got no food or dishes, and no vet check.

We looked for a dog for a long time, mainly through shelter sites. But many didn't have the info we wanted about the dog's personality, behavior, habits, etc. Getyourpet.com is a great resource to find pets and provides a safe forum for communication. We live too far away from a participating vet for us to take advantahe in that part of the program.

We have Shelby and Audi over a year now. They are just what we were looking for. I appreciated the website but found it a little frustrating. I wish you could be more specific when asking what is needed. I would ask for small senior dogs and have to wade through dozens of dogs that didn't pertain.

It was a seemsless process. I just wish I could choose a different VET for the initial check up.

I love the baby that I got from this website. The only issue I had was I wanted to talk to previous owner for an update and she sent me her phone # on the site but I guess they deleted it. That was not the right thing for them to do.

The people we adopted our dog from were great and so was get your pet. He had been a stray before the family we got him from, so he does have some minor health issues, but we're working with a great vet and we love our darling little min.pin. Get Your Pet is wonderful as the pets are able to avoid going to a shelter and are rehomed. Wish it could be that way for all pets.
