My payment had trouble going through on the site itself, but Brian was very helpful in getting my payment to go through quickly through PayPal. I've gotten both of my pups through Get Your Pet, and will definitely use the site again.

I liked this rescue site in the fact that I could see activity when someone had viewed my dogs profile. I was not impressed with the fact that all of my correspondents with interested parties was through emails through the site. There were so many things I would have liked to have discussed with a future adopter that needed to be asked or said in a phone conversation. And yet your site does not allow for us to exchange numbers. Texts or emails can not always come across well. That's my only problem with this rescue. My Cooper is now in his forever home with a wonderful family that sends me pictures continually. 💕

I fell in love with Noah almost from the start. He's quite the little guy. The owner told me that he walked well on a leash and that you could clip his nails. Neither of which was true,but other than that he was a great little guy. I tell all my friends that are looking to adopt an animal to check your site out. It's nicer and cheaper than going to the dog pound. Kathy Minter

Very happy with our new dog and the transfer from her old to new was fairly easy for her. The previous owner texted several times to be sure she was ok and I sent photos to ease his mind. Great progress for all. The first time I tried, was for a Yorkie, the owner did not respond for long periods, then would say she was interested and not respond again. It was frustrating. So glad I did not give up and tried a different dog.

We are very fond of our Pancake and feel lucky to have found her on Ger Your Pet. The only concern I have is really no ones fault but I would encourage anyone who explores this way of getting a dog do a lot of research about the families reason for getting rid of their pet. I realize I did not know much about territorial aggression and what it means as you adopt the dog. It has been a learning experience. In reality though Pancake is doing very well and she is very happy as our we.

Finding BLou (aka Buddy Lou) was a dream come true. He's a great dog thanks to his loving family. They loved him so much they were willing to let go of him to give him a healthier, more active life. He is in training to become a Pet Therapy dog and will continue to bring joy to many. Re-homing saved him the trauma of being in a shelter and allows both of his loving families to stay in touch. I've recommended Get Your Pet and will continue to do so.

The “Get Your Pet” process itself is very good. It was great to scroll through and find a loving pet for our home. The follow up process with them was very good. The confidentiality was also very good. The pet we adopted died shortly after joining our home. We took him on knowing that he had medical problems. I asked for no further emails for getting a new pet for awhile because we were not ready. No acknowledgment of this email. I continued to receive emails from them about pets. Without an acknowledgment, I believed that they did not receive my email, so I sent it again. They replied back this time that did not seem kind during our grieving process. Not what I needed at that point. 😞

This is a great site in 2 ways. 1 - if you need to find a new home for your pet without taking it to the shelter, this is a great place. 2 - first hand accounts of the pet and their personality and behaviors. While nothing is fool proof in a new environment, it is a great way to find out as much information about your potential new family member before meeting her. It also gives the current pet parent peace of mind by picking who they feel will be a good fit for their dog/cat.
