Hi Scott, I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with the status reported by your Notion sensor! Our team will be happy to help optimize the configuration to make sure everything is aligned. We will follow up with a direct message to troubleshoot. In the meantime, if you recently added a Notion magnet to your installation, make sure that you re-sync your sensor. In the Notion app, click on the sensor in question and then click on the button that says "Sync Task." Best, Julian @ Notion

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear that we missed the mark on your expectations for the Notion sensors! Our team is constantly working on updates and improvements to Notion and your feedback can directly help us prioritize new changes that we have coming soon. Regarding alerts from the system, we hope to release some updates to critical alerting soon. Make sure you stay posted for changes in our newsletter to be the first to know. Separately regarding the task limitations, we like to say that Notion needs to "feel" what it's reporting in order to send alerts for that thing. This does mean that some tasks are not compatible with others as you have noticed. We know that many users enjoy the versatility of the system, particularly that you don't need to purchase specific versions of the sensor for specific tasks. Hi Kelly, Can you try re-syncing the sensor? From the home page of the mobile app, click on the task that needs to be resynced. Click on "settings" and click "Sync task," then follow the on-screen prompts. If the false alerts persist after re-syncing, can you please share a picture of how the sensor and magnet are installed on the door? I can take a look at the configuration to make sure that everything is aligned alright.

Hi Jason, Thank you so much for your review. I'm sorry that we have been unable to provide a good experience for you so far beyond your interactions with the hardware. For reference, our team has wanted to offer API access, unfortunately this is not something we have been able to support yet. I will be sure to forward your feedback to our product team to see if we can add that to our roadmap. Hi Marianne, Darren here at Notion Support! Thanks for your comments! Our team is constantly working on updates and improvements to Notion and your feedback helps to inform our roadmap and the features that we can make available in the future! The vertically hinged false positives has been the product team's primary focus for the last little while, so we have updates coming down the pipeline that will improve the accuracy of the sensors. Our second generation system, while it may not be compatible with 3rd generation, is functionally the same and there is no need to upgrade to third generation if they're happy with their second generation system.
