Having seen this software recommended by Iolo (I didn't know they were owned by the same company), I decided to give it a try. NOWHERE in anything I saw during sign-up was it mentioned that the $19+ price was a recurring monthly charge rather than a one-off price for the software. I realised the true situation when I noticed the repeat charge in second month. It does not take a genius to realise that $228 a year is ridiculous amount for a programme you might easily use only once or twice a year, an.d then only as a safety net to catch drivers not updated automatically by your system From the other reviews it would appear I was not the only purchaser in this situation. I have (of course) cancelled the service I have been a System Mechanic user since 2010 and am very disappointed with Iolo's behaviour and feel that the situation should be made much clearer by Iolo

Went several months before we noticed this monthly $19.95 charge on our credit card (my bad). Don't know how we got signed-up for this!!!! Cancelled on August 03 - however they would NOT credit any past charges -EVEN though we did NOT receive any benefit from this. On August 24, same $19.95 charge appeared AGAIN. Cancelled AGAIN and they said they would credit us. This is a HUGE RIP-OFF if you are not even aware of signing-up for the service!!!!

Super hard to cancel, they keep giving you offers for keeping you in. Like just let us cancel for Christ sake. :(

I must point out here that getmydrivers is partnered with iolo, they are the same company. I bought the software, thinking it would be easier to update. I did not agree to them putting me on monthly service plan. There are a lot of complaints about this going on. I have managed to get a full refund for the software and the subsequent payments for the tech support dept. After them trying to get me to keep it and arguing and refusing to read reviews that have been posted. Do NOT get getmydrivers, you'll get roped in too. Do your best to get your money back.
