Cold delicate wash and laid flat to dry is exactly right, so this is a fault in the blanket, not in how you washed it. Send a photo to [email protected] and we'll replace it. Sorry Doris, that's a lot of money for something that came out of the wash wrong.

On the fit, the hat is cut long on purpose to cover the back of the head, but if it's sitting over your eyes it's the wrong size and we'll sort that in the same email. The outer fabric is kept light so the silver layer can work without turning the hat into a helmet, though none of that excuses the stitching.
