Unprofessional Support and Actively Hostile to Customers
I spent nearly $1,000 at GetFPV last month, but their customer service has guaranteed I will never shop with them again. I purchased a micro drone that had the entire U.FL antenna base shear completely off the flight controller after a minor 7-foot drop triggered by a signal failsafe. Since I owned the drone for less than 30 days, I reached out regarding a manufacturing defect, as a component should not snap off the board from such a low-impact fall. I dealt with a support rep named Harold, who rigidly classified this as a "crash" to completely void the 30-day warranty, offering a negligible 10% discount on a replacement part instead. What makes this a 1-star experience is Harold's subsequent behavior. The manufacturer's representative was CC’d on the email thread and was open to discussing a solution. Instead of facilitating help, Harold abruptly closed the ticket and explicitly typed "@anthony, please disregard" to the manufacturer's rep in an incredibly unprofessional attempt to shut down the conversation and actively block me from getting assistance. GetFPV is happy to take your money, but if you experience a hardware failure, their support team will not only deny your claim but will try to stop the manufacturer from helping you. Buy your FPV gear somewhere else.
