Alby has been nothing but an outright rip-off. I would give a negative value if i could. They migrated my balance from a free wallet to paid wallet, kept stacking inactivity fee to drain it's value, and now keep chasing me for more unpaid invoices by adding more inactivity fee. Their support is mechanical, no one really understands my queries and have never really got an answer that's relevant to my situation.

Alby Hub is pretty good if you want to setup a self-custodial Lightning node.. BUT, they took it upon themselves to siphon off several thousand sats from my hub (supposed to be self-custodial), through the access you give them during standard setup. Why would they take sats they don't deserve? For a Lightning channel I never got 🤷‍♂️ Also, they offer incentives for (good?) reviews. Response to Alby's comment: I already contacted your "support" and they just brushed it off. Get lost, it's too late.

I am experiencing the worst customer service and payment handling I have ever encountered. Here is a timeline of what happened: Day 1: I subscribed to Alby and paid for a subscription. The payment showed as pending on my Revolut account for two days. After 2 Days: I contacted support. Instead of resolving the pending transaction, they told me to subscribe again The original pending payment was finally taken from my account, but I never received access to the subscription I paid for. I have screenshots of all transactions and communication. 5 Days Ago: I requested a refund. Support confirmed they would process it. 1 Day Ago: Support claimed the refund was processed "yesterday." Today (5+ days after initial refund request): The money has still not been returned to my account. Right now, your reimbursement request has been re-submitted today and will be processed through the same payment method you originally used. 6+ days This email is to confirm that your refund has been issued by Alby. It can take approximately 10 days to appear on your statement. If it takes longer please contact your bank for assistance. I use Revolut, which is known for its instant transactions, so the delay is clearly on Alby's end. This is an unacceptable way to handle subscriptions and payments in 2025. How can anyone trust them with their money? Based on this experience, I would be deeply concerned about how they handle cryptocurrency payments. Summary: I paid for a service I never received and have been waiting over seven days for a refund that still hasn't arrived. My bank is not the problem Alby and its partners are impossible for a financial service company .

hidden fees everywhere

Don't fall for this scam! First when you signup for their cloud services, they tell you the price and then they start charging you hidden fees, no one will tell you about. When you open a new channel, they charge you 10 to 20 dollars just for nothing! I have all on chain BTC transactions TX and screen shots, suport answers once in few days and can't do anything, they just keep saying that it shoudn't be like that. Then I decided to open a new channel on free Electrum node, that node never charge you for new channel opening, guess what? I've sent 0.0021 BTC to Alby's BTC wallet, (I want to make it clear, when you want to fund your channel, you have to send on chain BTC to their wallet) then my channel got funded for only 0.002 BTC, where 0.0001 BTC has gone? Nobody knows. Then I had a transfer of 75000 sats, 3 days ago, transaction still pending and those satoshi were deducted from my wallet's balance! I closed that channel and those 75000 satoshi were just gone! So, my advice is, stay away from them, if you don't want to waste your time and money.
