I may Struggle with Vocabulary, but I Never Struggle with Grammar
When I took Laura's German Foundations grammar course around March of this year. I knew a handful of German words and really wanted to understand German grammar. When I started searching for a course, I was worried I would not find a teacher engaging enough, nor a course thorough enough to really make me understand daunting German grammar. I stumbled across Laura through Youtube, went through her English grammar course, and then purchased her Foundations course shortly after. Completing The Foundations and English Grammar course took me about a month, and I put in minimum three hours a day to complete it. (Albeit, after I finished her homework I made my own) Her dynamic attitude drew me to her lessons, and her explanations were crystal clear in their simplicity. She provides both lectures, worksheets, and worksheet reviews. All of which get you to actively try out what she teaches, which further ingrains your understanding of the concepts. If you need additional help, her response never takes more than 24hrs. Laura's class is the best example of "teachers who love teaching teach students to love learning." German grammar became a lot less daunting when Laura explained it in terms of "slots" and colour-organised cases. The only thing I would like to advise speculating students of is probably the English grammar course. It's free and I HIGHLY recommend native English speakers go through that course first. It may seem redundant but it really explains all the complex grammatical terms you may not be familiar with. When you understand how grammar works in English you get the benefit of comparing it to how German grammar works and finding and understanding those differences/similarities really enhances the concepts Laura brings up. She compares English grammar briefly in some lessons, but I felt the English grammar course really gave me a more rounded/foolproof understanding of German grammar. I'm now approaching B1 German now, I cannot thank her enough for my grammar foundations. I may struggle with my vocabulary, but I never struggle with grammar. I truly recommend her course to anyone terrified, intrigued, or intimidated by German grammar, Laura clears everything up!
