Highly recommended. A few years ago, after I retired, I decided to teach myself German to help keep my mind active. It seemed a good idea as English and German derived from the same ancient language. I assumed much similarity in vocabulary and structure. After a few years of using various apps to learn vocabulary, I more or less gave up. Declension and cases were just too difficult. Then my wife saw Laura’s course and it turned out to be superb. The course breaks grammar into small sections which are clearly explained in short video lessons. Educational psychologists say we can only concentrate effectively for ten to fifteen minutes ... just about the lengths of the videos. Unlike a formal course you can work through these as and when convenient. The course comes with excellent notes and numerous exercises with answers. Any problems? The best! I feel lucky to find Laura. She is best teacher and the only one for me after many year who is able to clear my German Grammar blocks and re-connecting with her lessons making some sense and logic. Absolutely brilliant! Laura teaches the broad center of the language, with concepts aimed at foundational building blocks and gaining confidence. This approach acknowledges learning a language is about comfortability, confidence, and a process for people of all ages. For me, it is an unfolding, with many small revelatory moments. Don't be afraid to start and, as important, enjoy the process that quickly builds a usable foothold.

Laura is the best online tutor available. Her method of instruction is unique and refreshing. She is obviously enthusiastic in the videos and her and her staff are very responsive to questions throughout the learning process. Her course provides complete instruction to the German language and grammar. She explains and provides the tools to apply when learning German. You cannot go wrong with downloading her course. This is absolutely the way to start when learning German. As an English major, seeing the grammar breakdown and how it is different than English grammar, helped me to look at German without the "English lens" that trips up German learners. I highly recommend this program.

Laura's German Foundations course takes an adult approach to learning German, instead of the usual brute force approach of other language apps. Rather than repeat the same sentences over and over, only to forget them by the next lesson, this course groups concepts together which makes retention easier.
