German with LauraReviews of germanwithlaura.com

After watching Laura's YouTube videos about 1.5 years ago, I realized her approach was the only way I would ever be able to learn German and I purchased her original foundations course. It was great then and has been updated with improvements since I joined. Even with all the information Laura has on YouTube for free, the course was extremely worth it. I actually don't know how it's possible to learn German without the rule simplifications she teaches. I now apply this foundational knowledge to every other learning approach I use, and honestly think doing Laura's class first has made my other studying at least 4x more effective. That's important because I'm not immersed and have limited time. I can now communicate in many basic situations, which is amazing compared to where I started. All in all this was a highly worthwhile investment!

I have been trying to learn German for years, and tried so many different online language courses/apps, you name it, I tried it! and spent a small fortune in the process. This has been the only course that has worked and made any sense at all. I learnt more in a few lessons, than I have in years using other learning methods. So much effort has been put into the course, and the course materials. I would definitely recommend anyone who was stuck like me and about to give up, to try this course.

Excellent course that offers more bang for your buck then any other course i have participated in. i am a British guy who has come to germany to study German in a German intergration method but found the teachers just give you lots of exercises and expect you to automatically grasp the complex German language structure on your own, this left me overwhemingly confused. After doing this course with laura she explains allthe whys and gives you a firm set of tools as a foundation that turned everything around for me, I feel a lot more confident after doing this course. Highly recommended! Even if you habve a high level each section with give you eye opening AHA moments, its really satisfying. Go for it! Get the course!

It was a good course!

I've tried many other ways of trying to get my head around German grammar and didn't get there. Laura's methods really work for me!

My only experience with German has been a few months of Duolingo, but I began to quickly get confused with the cases and genders which Duolingo provides NO support for. I then tried to branch out to textbooks, but was only met with the same "Just remember this" with no rhyme or reason! Laura's course acknowledges the issues that German learners run into, and gives logical patterns and ways to remember grammar points that just make sense! The exercises along each video are super helpful and are a great way to drill how patterns work, so you can stop being confused at the cases and genders and conjugations. Her charts are handy, minimal with no fuss, and are MUCH better than the traditional excessive German textbook charts. This was well worth the purchase, as it is much cheaper than an actual German beginner college class which would confuse you with the textbook style teaching. If you are starting out with German grammar, I highly recommend this!

Laura explains German grammar in a very clear and structured way. She has put a lot of effort into developing tools that help you absorb the main concepts. I do have questions every now and again but each lesson also has a discussion forum and so far my question has already been asked and, again, very clearly and simply explained. Added bonus: Laura responds very quickly to your questions. This was definitely money well spent.

This is the best German course I've ever taken! Logical, practical and systematic, I highly recommend it!
