Great service and rare part delivery for GE Profile built-in fridge
I had an excellent parts experience with GE Appliance Parts, definitely 5 stars! I needed an out-of-production evaporator fan for our 15 year old GE Profile built-in refrigerator. I searched everywhere on the internet, only to discover the part was not available anywhere. Fortunately, GE Appliance Parts had a few in their warehouse, and I was able to get one to perform the repair. The woman who answered the customer service phone (whose name I no longer have, but thank you!) was super helpful, and was able to ship me the correct part. It's pricey but worth the trouble since our built-in fridge was otherwise running perfectly. I spent a weekend on a complicated (for me) removal of the old part, defrosting of a large block of ice encasing the failed housing, and installation of the new fan. Sucess! The compartment temps are now holding steady at 0 deg/37 deg (freezer/fridge, respectively), just like new. THANKS GE APPLIANCE PARTS!!!
