Gate 1 TravelReviews of gate1travel.com

I wanted to make sure this review of Gate1 and specifically our Travel Manager for the tour, Americo Romainville from Cusco, Peru. I just got back from our Machu Picchu / sacred Valley and Puno trip. Our travel manager was amazing. He was kind, very knowledgeable of Incan history and treated the group of 20 like family. During our stay he had to navigate and think quickly on his feet as a result of the Farmer strikes. He is a complete winner and regardless of anything that was thrown at him mad our trip remarkable. Thank you Gate 1 and specifically Americo Romainville.

I have been travelling with Gate 1 since 2013 and so far this is the best trip i ever had. This time i was travelling with my husband, 4 classmates and we're all asians in our mid 70's . Thanks to Zouhar our tour manager, the trip was full of memories, fun, smooth and no complaints of arthritis pain from anyone. Zouhar give us an in depth description of beautiful Morocco,it's history, culture, food and friendly hospitable people esp. his tribe ,the Berbers. One incident i can give credit Zouhair for is his problem solving skill. I was not feeling well on our 11th day in Marakesh so i ask my husband to knock on his hotel room . In an instant he was in our room so i ask him to find me a technician to do a covid test as i can not take chances for inspite of my covid booster shots and previous negative tests we were roaming around without mask and the places we went to were crowded and maskless. Within minutes an ER doctor arrive in our room, did the test(thank God } the result was negative. My temp. is ok, but my blood pressure was too high, so he advise me to just rest and stay hydrated. We are all retired nurses except my husband so we are ready for emergencies, but not when the patient is a love one. I took my blood pressure pill and decided to stay in my room while the group went to Querika valley for the optional tour, and Zouhair did a video of the tour for me. We are now back in the U.S to difft. states and one from Canada but we can not stop talking about this memorable tour. Thanks Zouhair, for a job well done and Gate 1 for making me see the best of the world for less.

I loved my trip to Turkey.Weathet was cold but not their fault. Our guide Dilike was amazing more like outstanding.

I've been on multiple Gate 1 tours and just got home from Mexico city and Oaxaca tour and it was great! They arranged a covid test at hotel and things went really well. Small group of 19, everyone wore a mask and felt safe. Hotels and included meals were all wonderful and better than anticipated. I booked online so when I did need some info I used their call back feature and it worked well. Love Gate1

We traveled to Croatia, Slovenia & Italy thru Gate1 in October 2021. The experience we had every step of the way was fabulous! When our connecting flight was canceled in Munich and we were re-routed thru a different city in Italy, Gate1 sent their driver to pick us up & drive us thru Italy, Slovenia and finally to our final destination in Croatia. They went out of their way the entire 13 day tour & we all had a wonderful time! We will be traveling with them again soon!

We just returned from a 11 day vacay to Ecuador & Peru. It was a great vacation . Outstanding accommodations on the banks of Napa river & sacred valley. The travel guides ( Johanna in Ecuador & Juan in Peru) were knowledgeable & accommodating. They were keen on keeping everybody happy. They paid attention to the smallest details so the guest didn’t have to stress. To date we have done about 6 trips with Gate1 all good. I think Gate 1 has improved a lot BUT getting to speak to customer service is still painful, it takes hours to get one on the phone.

We all know that travel in the past two years has been risky. And blaming a travel company for canceled flights, cars, etc. seems unfair. I have traveled with Gate 1 Travel around the world and have recommended them to many friends. We ALL agree that Gate 1 Travel is not only a great value but high quality organization. From the minute they meet us at the airport to the day we leave, we never touch a suitcase again. They are passionate about providing spectacular tour guides, quality hotels in good locations, comfortable transportation, good meals provided and good recommendations on days off. Their tour plans are interesting and informative. They are sensitive to all travelers...especially those with some physical limitations but still providing the best experience for all. If you are considering a trip anywhere in the world and you want the experience and dedication of a travel agency that wants to provide the best experience possible, then choose Gate 1 Travel. I don't write reviews very often but I am moved to support this great organization.

I have traveled with them on multiple occasions. Always excellent service and support. Looks like most of the negative reviews on this site are because people didn't read the T&C's and don't seem to understand that when you book a trip like this airfare and hotels are booked and sometimes can't be refunded by the airlines and hotels.
