GameBananaReviews of gamebanana.com

I think people are a bit too harsh on this site. It functions well, better than sites like nexus in my opinion. Site moderation is good, you usually don't see many low quality mods on the front page. You WILL see some more "interesting content" from time to time and there isn't much you can do about that. I think they could handle user behavior a bit better (I'll never forget you, tf2 swissmas discourse of 2023) but overall the site managers do a good job of making sure people behave. All in all, this is a solid site, I mostly use it for half life and team fortress mods, but there is a plethora of other games on there, from old to new and even some that are mods themselves. If you wanna get into modding, give this site a shot.

I've been using GB since it was created. It wasn't all that bad at first, but in the recent years, it's gone to complete crap and and the moderation is even worse than that.

Completely Terrible. My mod was trashed because it was labeled under nonsense, even though I've worked on it for 6 months, and none of the term "nonsense" is present in this mod.

this is the greatest website ever

Give us new none Liberal modding websites, no seriously this isn't funny, we need freedom of expression within the modding community, Etika skin was banned without reason, I miss it so much cause he was such a chad, joke skins like Osama is also banned including Gandy like what the heck???

A video game website where users can upload custom-made mods. Unfortunately, site staff act in corrupt and depraved ways, including but not limited to removing comments that criticize them and even removing criticizing comments on their individual mods. "mimo4e/mecchi" is one of these individuals. Oddly enough, the same individuals that censor users on their site and remove critiquing comments on their mod pages then proceed to host Patreons, where they ask users for money in exchange for their mods, and create posts complaining about not receiving enough money. A highly corrupt website with arbitrary enforcement of rules. If you must access to do anything besides download a mod, ensure you are connected to a VPN and do not provide any personal details. 1/5.

Excuse my language and behavior when I say this. I got banned for telling someone to kill themselves. Why? Because I saw something I hated and I didn't ignore it. When I submit a ban appeal and wait for like 2 days or something, they haven't even replied once. Just in case someone is curious about what item it was... It's an Among Us model mod for GT Goku from DBFZ, period. Call me stupid all you want, like I give a crap. Honestly, I wish there was an option to block someone on GameBanana, but I doubt it has that. I also wish the admins weren't 100% woke braindead slobs because I had a mental breakdown trying to get their attention! I bet if I try waiting more than a week, then they still won't respond. On second thought, I don't feel like coming back anymore. I don't deserve to be on a platform with brain-dead people. Edit: I figured that this platform is very inactive, which just makes it worse. Like, what are they doing? Still no responses after submitting another ban appeal, I knew they were braindead. Also, creating another account isn't allow because it will instant get banned afterward.

The "pick-me girl" of websites. It purposefully breaks site design conventions just to be different, calling your friends list "buddies", has a complex points system where your Þ is counted? I don't know what "thankers" are, donators I guess? They call cloud storage "bitpit". They call featured mods "ripe"?? It bombards new users with this cringy and confusing site culture. It's also hardly usable, I can't make mod requests because I don't have enough Þ. And when I ask a question it doesn't even get posted. The search bar is broken because if you refresh half the results disappear. Not to mention it doesn't even use 25% of the screen, it's like the site was made exclusively for 4:3 aspect ratio.
