Misleading App that misuses your data
I received an email from a colleague requesting a referral through Gainrep (Gainrep.com). My colleague never used this service, so it was clear this was spam. Unfortunately, I clicked on the link and logged in with my Google account. Gainrep accessed my contacts and started sending spam emails in my name without my consent. When I realized what was happening, I immediately cancelled the invitation queue within the app and deleted my account. Despite these actions, the app continued to send spam emails to my contacts, causing confusion and damaging my reputation. This app preys on users by sending unsolicited referral requests and misusing their data. Be cautious if you encounter Gainrep, and avoid using it to protect your personal information.
