Very impersonal. I felt like they didn't actually place people or allocated the jobs to their preferred candidates. I don't see a track record so it raised red flags for me. Lots of these impersonal agencies tend to get lazy and cause problems rather than actively solve them relying predominantly on tech even where it is inadequate wasting candidates time.

Thanks for taking the time to write this, and we are sorry the experience landed this way.
On the specifics: when a client caps how many engineers they can take on for a phase, more people meet the bar than there are seats, so the roster comes down to the strongest results among everyone who put their name forward. That is what happened recently. It is not preference or favouritism, though we understand why a no with little visibility behind it reads that way, especially after you have set aside time.
We do use tooling to screen at volume, and it is not what makes the call. Submissions are reviewed against CVs and assessment results by a person, and a person sends every message. Where we have been slow or thin on explanation, that is ours to fix rather than defend.
If you want to go through this directly, write to our Director of Community at [email protected] and she will make sure you get the answers you need.

Do not get tricked and be careful.
Do not get tricked and be careful.
These type of recruiter agencies will you sent you "offer" even if you refuse or not interested to work them. Jobs with underpriced salary and useless video test and coding challenges.
I am not sure that their employees are even real humans, because they are not properly responding to your messages or any queries.
They will annoy and spam you with automated message unless you accept, and once you accept they will start ghosting like you never exist.
Early this year, I asked them nicely I am not interested to do business with them and to stop messaging me, but once again I got automated message from their recruiter, so I am kindly asking once again, organize your workflow and stop spamming people that are avoding you in every aspect.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your experience.
Our goal is to connect developers with opportunities that match their skills and preferences, and our screening process is designed to help ensure a good fit for both candidates and clients. We understand that not every opportunity or hiring process will be the right fit for everyone.
We take do not contact requests very seriously and are committed to honoring them. We'd appreciate the opportunity to investigate your concerns and make things right.
Please reach out to us at [email protected] with the email address associated with your account, and we'll look into this promptly and work toward a resolution.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Dont be fooled by g2i
I recently had a challenging experience with G2i that I want to share professionally and transparently.
After passing their interview process, I was placed into a talent pool. Over time, I began to feel this was mainly a way to build a pool of pre-vetted candidates, which was disappointing. I asked them never to contact me and to stop wasting my time. I left the talent pool.
Later, a recruiter contacted me about a new opportunity. I passed another interview and joined the team.
On day one, the onboarding felt unclear and disorganized. The team seemed uncertain about internal processes and tools, so I asked questions in Slack to get up to speed. The team lead then asked for my GitHub profile and appeared unimpressed. I explained that I had not actively used GitHub since I was junior and that it did not reflect my current experience. I later learned he had built a product that evaluates GitHub profiles and filters candidates based on that data, which likely shaped his impression.
On day two, I noticed the pipeline was failing late on a Friday night. Nearly 50 tests were failing due to timezone issues. Although I was not part of the original application, I spent several hours trying to resolve the issue because I did not want to risk being seen as unproductive.
I fixed the tests and spent the weekend pushing features forward so I could feel confident in my new role.
However, on Monday morning at 6 a.m., I received a message stating that my contract was being terminated due to a “clash in communication and work styles.” When I asked for clarification, I was told there was nothing wrong with my coding, but that my communication style did not align with the team.
Fired in two days. I did not get a meaningful chance to demonstrate my technical ability, and I felt judged on my GitHub profile and communication preferences.
Based on my experience, I would advise anyone considering an offer from G2i to proceed carefully and make sure they have full clarity before leaving a current role.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in such a detailed and thoughtful way. We genuinely appreciate candid feedback, even when it reflects a challenging situation.
We’re sorry to hear that this engagement did not meet your expectations and that the experience felt unclear and abrupt. Our intention is always to create a transparent, respectful, and supportive process for both candidates and developers, and it’s clear that in this case, that outcome was not achieved.
To provide some context, short-term engagements can sometimes reveal early misalignment—not related to technical ability, but around communication styles, team dynamics, and ways of working. When that happens, our goal is to act quickly to avoid prolonged frustration on either side. That said, we understand how difficult and disappointing this can feel, especially when you’ve invested time and effort into the role.
Your feedback around onboarding clarity, expectations, and early communication is important, and we take it seriously. We continuously work to improve our processes so that developers have clearer context and support from day one.
We truly appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you the very best in your future opportunities.

Do not waste time
Totally waste of time, two employees reached me out through LinkedIn with automated private message for Senior Backend Engineering.
They had lack of information related to the position so I respond with few questions where I get additional information and instructions for next step which was one side interview on Hireflix platform.
Video questions were technical about position.
They started spamming me whole weekend on LinkedIn and emails to do video interview as soon as possible since they in hurry.
Once I done it, I inform them nicely and now they are ghosting for weeks.
Common scam agency, do not waste any time.

Hi Besim,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience — and we’re truly sorry to hear it left you feeling disappointed.
We recognize that being contacted with limited role details, followed by a sense of urgency around completing a video interview, can feel disjointed and impersonal — especially if follow-up communication falls short afterward. That’s not the standard we aim for at G2i.
In this case, it sounds like we failed to provide a smooth, respectful experience, and we sincerely apologize. The project you were contacted about is one where G2i is supporting recruitment, but not managing the client or day-to-day engagement directly. That nuance should have been communicated more clearly from the start.
We appreciate your honest feedback, and we’re actively reviewing how we handle communication and expectations during the recruitment process — especially for roles with accelerated timelines.
If you’re open to it, we’d appreciate the chance to speak with you directly and learn more so we can improve. You can reach our team at [email protected].
Thank you again,
The G2i Team

12 minutes
12 minutes to analyze a list of 40 requirements, 3 paragraphs of the problem statment and two React AI responses for performance code. Completely unreasonable in 12 minutes. They want AI to analyze their AI responses.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for your honest feedback. We hear you — the time constraints of the RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) review task can be challenging, especially when asked to assess nuanced AI-generated code in a short window.
Your comment has been shared with our vetting team, and we’re currently re-evaluating both the scope and structure of this task to better reflect the depth of review we expect. Our goal is never to rush or overwhelm talented engineers — we’re working to ensure the experience is fair, respectful, and realistic.
We really appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Extremely disappointed
I applied for a Front-End Dev junior role and then they gave me a Python technical interview, after that they told me i passed (when I knew I didn't) and then I started to learn their course for the final test where there was 2 incorrect questions that made me fail. You cannot do that to people
Response from G2iJul 15, 2025
Hi Andreea,
We're sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it.
While we're glad you successfully passed the first technical task, we understand how disappointing it must have been not to advance past the client challenge. We’re actively reviewing your feedback — including the mention of potentially incorrect questions — to ensure accuracy going forward.
We never want a candidate to feel misled, and we're genuinely sorry if our communication around the process created confusion. We’ll take this as a chance to improve how we set expectations and support candidates during each step.

Don't waste your time
Don't waste your time.
They will ask you to do a task or code review, then will ghost. No feedback. Months later, as if I've just submitted my candidature to the position in question, they will send a "new" invitation, to do the very same task.
Ah, the email domain they use to reach out doesn't accomodate incoming emails - with ending '.ia', been this one which they let it available for contact (?), so if you reply them you'll receive a sent failure response. Spare your time and don't engage with them.
Response from G2iJul 15, 2025
We’re really sorry for the frustrating experience you had — and we appreciate you taking the time to share it. You're absolutely right to expect better.
After investigating, we discovered an issue in our outreach automation system that caused your experience — including the mistaken re-invite and email issues from the “.ai” domain. That domain error has since been corrected, and our CEO has reached out directly to apologize.
We’re working hard behind the scenes to prevent this from happening again and to make sure candidates get timely responses and clear communication at every step.
Thank you again for holding us accountable.

Don't waste your time
There is no communication with these people. As intermediaries profiting from connecting you with outlier, they should be interested in people. Not only does the whole process take 2 months, but despite sending several emails requesting clarification on a few matters and the process, the only responses I get are from bots that are completely off-topic. If anything goes wrong, you are left on your own and will probably end up working for free.
Response from G2iJul 15, 2025
Hi Gregory,
We’re sorry your experience with us was so frustrating — and thank you for being honest about it.
You're right that communication is critical, especially when we’re acting as a bridge between great talent and exciting opportunities. After hearing feedback like yours, we’ve made some important changes, including adding more dedicated support staff and improving how we handle candidate questions during client engagements.
While we regret that your experience didn’t reflect our values, we’re actively working to make sure others have a better, clearer, and more human experience moving forward.
