Negative returns my balance is only near the amount I invested bc of referral bonuses. The minimum chart timeline is a year so you can hardly see recent ROI variation. And every time you deposit, the chart moves up as if your investment grew but it's only bc you added outside funds. I hate when investment companies show things that way. Only thing I'm not negative about is the innovation fund. But barely.

Thanks for sharing about your experience. In case you missed it, our two most recent investor letters lay out the full context around Fundrise's 2023 performance, including (1) why we are increasingly optimistic that the real estate market has bottomed, and (2) how we have been enthusiastically "buying the bottom" during this period. 2023 Year-End: https://fundrise.com/education/2023-year-end-letter-to-investors 2024 Q1: https://fundrise.com/education/q1-2024-letter

I began investing with Fundrise in February, 2021, a good year for Fundrise. After 2021, my investment lost money steadily. Fundrise’s juggling funds into different accounts were so frequent and convoluted I gave up trying to understand what they were doing. It took several months, but I was eventually successful in pulling my money out with an overall return of 6% (realize that included 2021’s 25% return). I now have my money in an insured money market account through Raisin.com earning 5.26%.

I've been investing with Fundrise for over 5 years now. and my returns are about 4-6% even in the high appreciation years. My savings account is giving me 4.6% on my liquid cash, so Fundrise returns just aren't very good.

Earlier this year, I invested a few hundred dollars in Fundrise after reading an article on CNN praising the company. What a disappointment! In spite of the fact that the property market is hot at the moment, I have not received any advice from them and I am losing money. In order to receive my money back, I redeemed my account and I was informed that my request would take 2.5 months to be reviewed.

My Initial investment was 2k and since Invested over a year ago. I have only lost money. Hoping it changes since they were saying we should receive a 7 plus interest gain.

Returns have been decent, but if you want to do a withdrawal you lose a portion of the gains and you have no control of when you get the funds. It is the most non-liquid investment I’ve ever participated in. For withdraw requests below a certain threshold (maybe $20K), there should be no more than a 7 day wait. 3-4 months is unacceptable.
