Called frazer for replacement engine in…
Called frazer for replacement engine in my ram 3500 diesel. Bad communication with someone who said he was Dave Frazer. He at one point said, "am I going to have a problem with you?" I should have ran from that company right there. But my wife insisted we give the credit card number and order up the rebuild since we were told there were only 4 rebuild able blocks in stock and ours would be the next one built, should be to you in 5 to 7 days. I contacted them after a few days in my waiting time for the engine, I requested information on what comes with the engine and about the warranty. They sent my a pic of a rebuilt cummins engine like mine. It showed from timing cover, oil pan, water pump, harmonic balancer, and valve cover. They stated the warranty is 5 years/100000 miles. When my engine arrived it came in a plastic bag and exposed to the elements. There were no valve cover, rocker box, harmonic balancer on the engine. The paperwork stated a 1 year unlimited mile warranty. To top it off, the engine never came from Texas as we were told but came out of minnesota. And the engine builder is Revival not Frazer. I called Revival engine rebuild ERS. They had no knowledge of a Frazer employed by them. Revival said THEY were the largest rebuilder in the US, not Frazer. I don't believe Frazer builds diesel engines, they have very little product knowledge about them at the very least. I finally got my $1000 core charge back from frazer, hence this post. About the warranty, well I guess I will just have to see if Revival would honor it since it was their engine.
