Slimy company that makes it difficult to cancel during free trial
I thought this was a legit site as I wound up here via a link from the NY DMV. I needed a simple affadavit that in retrospect I could get from chatGPT for free. I had to input my credit card for a free 7 day trial. After making my form and realizing it was useless as they gave no option to put the notary area and the 3 line form I needed on the same page I went to cancel my "trial." However in the billing area I show no active subscription and thus no way to cancel. What's the chance I can cancel myself before they bill my credit card? I immediately sent an email with number to customer service and we'll see how it goes. Luckily I know about companies like this and used a virtual credit card number to sign up. Once I was unable to cancel myself I deleted the virtual credit card so if they don't cancel they still can't bill me. However, only a scammy company tries to make it difficult for you to cancel in the hopes you give up. Addendum: The company answered me telling me there was no account so everything was fine and could I please remove this review. I signed on to the website again and it now says I have "Premium Annual" at $144/year and still offers no way to cancel the subscription. I have emailed back to cancel it. Even if they cancel in a timely fashion, there is no reason to not include a way to self-cancel directly from the website. The only reason to make canceling difficult is to scam people out of money.

Hello! We wanted to follow up on your review and clarify the situation, as this matter should now be fully resolved. When you first contacted us, the subscription setup had not been completed, so there was no active subscription on your account and therefore no cancellation option. Our support team explained this to you. You later created a new subscription and contacted us again about cancellation. In the screenshot you provided to our support team, the option to manage a subscription was clearly visible in your Billing section. We sent you quick instructions on how to cancel the subscription, but we didn't receive a further response. As you had previously requested cancellation, we canceled the subscription on your behalf. We understand that the initial situation may have been confusing, but since the review states that there was no way to cancel the subscription, we wanted to clarify that this doesn't accurately reflect what was available in your account. In the first instance, there was no active subscription to cancel, and after the new subscription was created, the option to manage and cancel it was available. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]
