its good but there are some issues / lacks documentations

Somethings that could be improved: - It is suppossed to be OpenSource which is not completely true. - Platform is tied to MongoDB. - Documentation is not that clear that configuration must be made before downloading the client.

form.io is a good idea/platform. The best when it comes to form creation. One of few that does multi-step forms - wizard like. I was keen on using it in my app. I found the integration docs confusing. I found that it is based on Angular JS and I am using Angular 8. Not clear if this means 2 Angular payloads. The very engaged and passionate CEO claims on video that it is truly 'open source' no secrets and he encourages people to use it in their app. I could get the form runner working in my app but not the form builder. Pity.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are placing a lot of focus on improving our documentation, so please stay tuned. As for Angular 8, we fully support Angular 8 which can be found @ https://github.com/formio/angular-formio. Documentation can be found @ https://github.com/formio/angular-formio/wiki and an example application can be found @ https://github.com/formio/angular-demo

Form.io has some great features and overall a great product for small to medium size businesses. However, in my experience within a large enterprise company, form.io in most occasions falls a little short when developing forms with heigh usage of API interactions that require case handling responses. Being an embedded rendering form for complex transactions has its challenges. Also, in my experience, the integrity of form.io features are impacted when upgrading formio.js versions. In saying that, Form.io is a great product on the market today and the staff try really hard to triage customer feedback. I would recommend this product (at its current state) to small to medium size business that do not require complex API integrations with the use of out of the box (from basic to moderate level technical) features. Some recommendations for the form.io team: • Improvement for QA control for each release. • Improvement needed for complex API integrations • Improvement needed for a feature knowledge base. (Possibly an improved user guide) • Product capabilities appear to be demographically developer-focused, possible improvement needed with Design Thinking techniques for product features that are catered to a non-technical user base.

When it works it's amazing. But a lack of up to date and comprehensive documentation, guides to upgrading major versions (sometimes minor version as well), and commitment to squashing bugs before releases leads to serious pains when developing. You always have to hunt for that one minor version that doesn't introduce a new critical bug.

Not fully business friendly Out-of-Box, but definitely IT friendly.
