Dear Donna, I am very sorry to hear about your experience with Linet. We spoke with her, and clearly, she did not follow our procedure for making offers. Our team is not supposed to send contracts out to homeowners before they get approval from me or my partner, Gabriel. We were both out of the office for a couple of days, so she decided to proceed with sending you the offer. Unfortunately, her numbers were quite far off and when Gabriel reviewed it she had to let you know that we cannot proceed with that offer. We made sure to let the team know that this cannot happen again. Since you never signed that offer, I am not sure how it caused you to lose money. I am sorry, but I was never aware that you wanted to speak with one of us (the owners) at any point in the process. I would have had no problem calling you if I knew it. That was also an issue with poor communication on Alejandro's end. I appreciate your honest feedback, even if it's not something I like to hear, but it helps us improve and make transactions smoother for other people in the future. Dear Marc, I am sorry that you had a negative experience with us. We try our best to make it a win win situation for everyone involved. The inspector that went to inspect the property a few days after the contract was signed took until April 14th to send us the inspection report. It was only then that we realized that the property will need quite a bit more work than we anticipated based on what you disclosed over the phone. However, we were in constant communication with you throughout the process and told you we were waiting on that report. Unfortunately, there was an internal misunderstanding between Lauren (who is a new hire on our team) and Alejandro, and she told you on April 15th that we are moving fwd with the deal. A few hours later, Alejandro was the one that called you and told you that we won't be able to close at the price that we agreed upon initially because of the unexpected work that is needed. We disclosed to you upfront that we have an inspection period and that the deal is not finalized until we waive the inspections. Even though we canceled on time, within the inspection period, and are not legally obligated to pay you the deposit, we are willing to release half of it to you. Dear Jessica, I understand that the situation with the property is hard for you and for the other neighbors. We purchased the property with squatters inside and had to go through the legal procedure of getting them out which took about 4 months (it's not just a simple eviction). We are in the process of cleaning the property up and pulling permits from the city in order for us to start the renovation work. I hope that the process will go quickly, but it's not a simple one. We're doing our best to turn this property over as quickly as possible and ending the trouble that it has brought to your neighborhood. We are not being fined by the city, they understand the situation we are dealing with and gave us a few more weeks to resolve the open code violations (which we inherited from the previous owner that sold the property to us).
