Bought 8 elipticals 6 arrived in poor condition 2 of the 6 did not work at all. They refuse to fix anything. I received authorization to send 2 back. 18 months later they still refuse to send me my refund. 20 months later they still refuse to fix anything. They sent out a repair tech to inspect the equipment. Their tech stated that several of the elipticals needed to be replace since they were in such poor condition. They were bought as refurbished.

Wish I read this stuff before...
I ordered a Nordic Track Mountain climber treadmill 9i (or at least that is what I was told I was ordering) over 5 weeks ago. Their standard shipping is 14-21 days. Given that they are in CAL and i am on the East coast.. Its seems as though they are never open. I've called numerous times for a status update on my purchase. It was said they don't care about you once they take your money. This is absolutely true. I keep getting told the treadmill is waiting to be picked up by UPS.. Ive beginning to wonder if this is part of their script cause its the same thing Ive been told every time I call.
I am worried that I won't be getting the product that I ordered after reading all the reviews. Trust me on this... if I don't, I will be contacting the BBB and filing a formal complaint in the courts for reimbursement of my money.

Bait and Switch at Fitness Blowout
I ordered what I thought was a Star Trac Recumbent Bike. FB Website shows a Star Trac, I asked for a Star Trac because that is the Recumbent Bike my wife and I have been using at our local YMCA for the past 7 months. I learned later that our salesman switched it to a Cybex. Why would I order a brand that I have never heard of? My salesman promised delivery in 7-14 days as well as set up in our home. Then I learned that was extra $$. I dug a little deeper and discovered the "switch," a Cybex instead of Star Trac. I cancelled the order only to discover I would have to pay for return shipping and 20% restocking fee. Say away from Fitness Blowout.

worst company to do business with
This company is the worst company I have ever done business with. They are very dishonest and deceitful. We ordered a piece of equipment from them 10 months ago. It took 3 months to get it delivered and it was broken and unusable. Now 10 months later no replacement or help. I have tried to get them to replace or refund me with no success. They simply ignore me and hope I will go away. The equipment was over $3000. They are a complete rip off. I would avoid them at all costs.

CAUTION!!!
be aware that these people are very good sales men. i had done all the research before i bought the unit i wanted. it has been over 50 days since i have ordered and have not received the equipment yet. they say ups lost it and they were waiting for the claim. i told them that you will be getting your money back, so in the mean time send me out a new unit. they said cant do that. so i said i will order another unit and than you can cancel the first order. he said he would speak to his manager, who said they will send me another one and i do not have to place a new order. there is no compensation at this co.
BOTTOM LINE: if you want to constantly be on top of them like a puppy and do not mind waiting until you are too old to get your unit that go ahead. also once you place your order they do not really care about u any more (as they did before you gave them your money).

Scam Artists
This company has false advertising on their website. They use hard pressure sales and bait & switch tactics. They lied to me regarding their pricing, return and cancellation policy. They label their used equipment with different names and numbers and claim they are recommended by Consumer Reports (when they are not). They shipped a product to me after I cancelled the order in hopes that they could extort the return shipping and restocking fee out of me. In short, this company should be shut down and if you deal with them Buyer Beware.

Fitness Blowout doesn't honor their 'Lifetime Warranty'
I bought a Le Tour De France stationary bike from them, and they talked me out of buying the manufacturers extended service plan.
Shortly after the manufacturers warranty expired, the bike broke. Fitness Blowout told me to call manufacturer. I requested a service call and was told I'd have to pay a trip charge. I asked how much, they couldn't answer. They promised to set up call with their subcontractor for service.
Subcontractor claimed they called and left messages, my phone log says they didn't. Fitness Blowout asked me for a specific time to call, I provided several times and they never called.
After about 6 weeks, I finally got a trip charge quote from subcontractor by learning who they were and emailing them. Charge is $265.00, and it was implied that two trips would be needed (one to diagnose, one for repair).
It's my impression that Fitness Blowout has no intention of ever doing any warranty work.
I've got a quote from Sears of $95 for repair, plus parts.
Fitness Blowout ripped me off.

Miserable experience
Move very quickly from this website. I had to file a lawsuit to get what I purchased. The website is slick. It's easy to use, the graphics are great. You can view the owner's family picture. And if these don't hook you, you have Hulk Hogan, Cheryl Crow, and Michael J. fox apparently endorsing the site. You are drawn in; you want to trust these people. What could go wrong? Most everything!
Working with Fitness Blowout has undoubtedly been the worst customer experience I have ever had. I purchased a Precor 576i elliptical in November 2013. I received the machine in December, but the wrong console was attached, it was not completely functional and it was cracked. I spent tens of hours on the phone, mostly waiting for someone to pick up, functioning as my own service rep and as go-between between the various departments, but none of the service reps could solve my problem?! I was put in contact with Jarryd, the Assistant Director of Customer Service, who, after weeks of frustration, lost sleep, unanswered emails, complaints to other reps, just so Jarryd would respond to me, sent me the top half of the wrong computer console. It was then that Fitness Blowout realized that they had sent me the wrong machine as well.
Meanwhile, I had filed an online complaint with the BBB of Los Angeles and Silicon Valley, but they closed the case as Fitness Blowout did not respond to three attempts at communication. I refused to accept the lesser machine, which clearly was not the machine advertised on the website, for which I paid $3700.00. Many months into this process Jarryd finally suggested that I be shipped a new machine. Then he stopped communicating with me. I spent tens of more hours pleading for help and complaining, to no avail. I sent a certified letter to the owner, Mr Jim Rosen, notifying him of my intention to sue if the problem were not resolved, but received no response. Using an online small claims filing company, I filed a small claims lawsuit at Inglewood Courthouse, Superior Court of California, Court of Los Angeles, Southwest District and soon after the court date was set (June 26, 2014), Jarryd emailed me, astounded that I was still having problems?! I ultimately received the elliptical I purchased and the suit was dismissed on June 3. This was a six-month nightmare, easily confirmed at the BBB and Inglewood Courthouse.
It is hard for me to understand how this company stays in business. They claim that 95% of customer problems are caused by their distributors, but it seems to me that the real problem is in how Fitness Blowout responds to the mistakes that are made. No one seems to know what is going on. No one would take responsibility for my problem. I believe that without a court date, I would have been left with a $3700.00 useless hulk of metal. The on-line complaints about Fitness Blowout are maddeningly consistent. Be very careful, be wary of the positive reviews, and save all documentation, or better yet, go somewhere else.
