One step above spam
One step above out and out spam. The site showed up in a targeted Google Alert, and directed me to a fishing spot in the middle of a 200 square mile private timberland holding. Mmm...sounds like these hot fishing tips are being generated by AI.

Steve, we’re really sorry you ran into this. Fishbox uses data from anglers and external providers, and we’re actively working to verify locations, mark access restrictions more clearly, and improve the accuracy of our maps and fishing spots. We’re also preparing a major update that will introduce one of our most requested features — fish species information for fishing spots. Alongside this, we’re improving the map and spot data so the information is as accurate and useful as possible. We truly hope you’ll have a chance to explore these changes and that they’ll improve your overall impression of Fishbox. It would also really help if you could share the specific spots that seemed incorrect so we can review them. Please reach out via in-app chat or at [email protected] — we’re always glad to receive feedback and suggestions.
