This company is a scam. They demand the entire payment upfront, almost $3000. No subcontractors wanna work with them because they are cheap and don't make payments. Took four months to fix my dryer. The subcontractor still wasn't paid. I canceled my plan. They said that I could cancel it anytime. That was three months ago. I filled out all the paperwork as requested, and they have not given me my refund. I had the policy for five months. And they only agreed to give me $1200 back. But they have still not returned the money. They have not answered my calls, emails or my voicemails. every time I call, they now put me on hold and then hang up. They are a HUGE scam!!!!

If you are thinking of using this company for a home warranty, just don’t. Close your computer and walk away and revisit and find another company to use. This company will cause you to grow grey hair faster than anything else in this world. They won’t answer their phones. They won’t return an email even though they tell you to email them. They won’t help in one bit. We called about our pool in June. We wrote to them to let them know the first company that was contacted didn’t want to work with first premier because they have issues getting payment. They then assigned a plumber to our pool. It took 5+ days to get someone else assigned. That person wouldn’t answer emails, calls or texts. Then finally said he would come out but then never came and stopped answering calls. I contacted first premier (god forbid) on a Thursday about this after waiting for over 90 plus minutes on hold and using the real estate option to get through, that we needed someone else. We got someone on Monday and that person put in a claim on Tuesday and we still haven’t heard from first premier after 6 days and multiple calls that go unanswered and now my 11th email just on this topic alone also unanswered. If you happen to have to use this company know your contract, because they won’t. They will tell you it isn’t covered. But then you will read the contract back to them and then they will ask you send it to them. We are are still waiting on a check from April! They said it was going to be sent out on July 23rd. It’s now been 8 weeks and coming from New York, not Cape Verde. In conclusion, find anyone but first premier. Please, please do not give them money. They will be rude to you and try everything in their power to not pay for what they have covered. Find a reputable company. You will be so happy you did.

I am reporting them to Atty Generals office. They did not issue link after 4/5 phone calls in to get it. 6 months later I got it. They do not answer the phones or they answer transfer then disconnect. I’ve been trying to get a service scheduled since June. There are no cancellations allowed. They keep full year payment. I got one phone called through annd agent told me they did not cover my issue. Then she charged me $120 for service call. No one has ever been to my house at all, They are scammers. What they sell you on is not true. Do not buy.

Would not recommend First premier Home Warranty to anyone. When you have a problem, be prepared to spend a ridiculous amount of time on hold. Every time I’ve needed assistance, I’ve had to call multiple times and sit on hold for 30 minutes or more just to speak with someone. Then, after all that, they charge a $75 per service fee to send a company out to inspect the issue. The frustrating part is that after collecting your fee, they almost always find some loophole or clause in the contract to deny the claim. A leak inside the wall? Not covered. A refrigerator leak? Not covered. Septic line repairs? Not covered. There always seems to be some technicality that voids the claim. It feels like the company is more interested in collecting service fees than actually honoring Warranty claims. I’ve paid for coverage expecting help when problems arise only to be told that the septic issue falls under and exclusion buried in the fine print. Overall, This company has been a complete waste of time, money, and frustration. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for home warranty coverage.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand the frustration that can come with a claim that is not covered. Coverage decisions are based on the specific terms, limitations, and exclusions of each customer’s service agreement. The service fee is disclosed as part of the claims process and is used to dispatch a service professional to diagnose the reported issue. We’d appreciate the opportunity to review the claims mentioned in this review and clarify the coverage decisions. Please contact our customer care team with your policy information so we can look into the matter directly and address any outstanding concerns.

DO NOT use this company! I’ve had home warranties for years and never had issues like Fist Premier. I paid for a year upfront and placed a ticket for AC repair on 7/2/26. Tech never called to schedule do I called them, left a message and no return call. I then call First Premier back end of July, they assigned another company who never called so I called on 9/3/26 and they advised they no longer work with First Premier so I called First Premier asking to cancel and refund ALL my money and representative was extremely condescending and could not advise what amount they would be refunding. Just keep stating prorated. HORRIBLE COMPANY!
Response from First Premier Home WarrantySep 18, 2026
We’re sorry to hear about the frustration with your AC service request and the difficulty getting the assigned contractors to respond. We understand how frustrating that experience can be. Our service requests are handled through independent service providers, and when a provider is unable to take the assignment, we work to reassign the request. Cancellation and refund amounts are determined according to the terms of the service agreement, including the applicable prorated calculation. We’d appreciate the opportunity to review your account and confirm the status and amount of any applicable refund. Please contact our customer care team with your policy information so we can assist you directly and work toward resolving the matter.

This is the worst home warranty I ever had in my life. I tried 7-10 times, and every time the hold time was half an hour, and finally it disconnected. I signed for 6 years and this is my first claim and never been fixed whenever I called technician it went through his answering service. What a great service I recommend not to signup
