This company is an absolute scam, and I'm furious about it. I recently bought a condo and decided to get a home warranty, falling for the dream Jake, the smooth-talking sales guy, sold me. He assured me I could cancel anytime with a pro-rated refund. Well, that's true, but what he conveniently omitted was the ridiculous cancellation fee they slap you with. And guess what? During our numerous email exchanges and phone calls, not once did they bother to mention that they don't cover AC leaks. I specifically asked about potential issues with our appliances, and all Jake did was parrot the same line – they cover ALL parts and labor, with the only cost being a $60.00 service charge. Surprise, surprise – another blatant lie. Now, I'm stuck in a battle to get my refund, and I haven't even had their policy for a month. Their dishonesty is crystal clear, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this deceitful company. I wish I had done further research. They are not BBB-accredited.

FIRST TIME HOME BUYER
FIRST TIME HOME BUYER: 10/31/2023 NEEDED REPAIR ON STOVE IGNITION ON 1 STOVE EYE. THEY KEEP PUTTING ME ON HOLD, I WISH I WOULD HAVE READ THESE REVIEWS PRIOR TO PURCHASING. STILL ON HOLD, TALKING ABOUT SENDING ME A CHECK..FOR WHAT? HAD TO CALL FROM DIFFERENT AREA CODE TO GET AN ANSWER, THAT IS SAD! SHOULDNT THAT GO TO THE TECHNICIAN? WHAT IF THE CHECK IS LAST THAN WHAT I AM CHARGED? I HAVE TO COME OUT OF POCKET? PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, JUST TELEMARKETERS AND SCAMMERS!

Terrible!
Terrible!! They get out of paying with their cash in lieu of repair! Don’t do business with this company!! It’s a waste of money!! I’ve had 3 different home warranty companies only because I shop them after 1-2 years for price. This one is the only one who I’ve ever had difficulty with!!

Avoid this company. They are a Bait and Switch Fraud
We had a leaking shower valve. This item was covered in the first policy we received from First Premier before we paid for our policy. The plumbing company First Premier sent out has been waiting over a week for approval to fix. In the meantime, more water damage would have happened to our home if we hadn't called another plumber and got it fixed ourselves. The leak was coming from the shower valve which is TOTALLY covered in the first policy they provided to us. Apparently, First Premier Home Warranty has 2 policies - A Bait policy they send you to get you to pay for a policy and the Switch policy which covers just about nothing. Avoid this company, as it appears they are a SCAM.

Unbelievable
On November 24,2024, I began a new home warranty plan with First Premiere Home Warranty. My previous home warranty plan was expiring December 2023. Due to the perceived positive information, I received, during my call with the First Premiere Home Warranty sales representative, I decided to give the company a try. Due to having an older home, I have maintained a home warranty plan, to cover unexpected mechanical breakdowns and expenses.
I was told, by the First Premiere sales representative, that to ensure that I have uninterrupted coverage, I should begin the new warranty plan, with First Premier Home Warranty, during the last month of my current plan (which was November 2023), to ensure that there was no lapse in my coverage.
On January 2, 2024 (Tuesday), I returned home from New Year holiday and turned on the thermostat to take the chill out of the air. I discovered that the fan continued to blow air after the set temperature had been reached. I turned off the unit from the thermostat and the air continued to blow. I removed the batteries rom the thermostat and the air continued to blow. I decided to turn off the circuit breaker to the unit and the air stopped blowing.
The following morning, January 3, 2024 (Wednesday), I contacted First Premiere to place a claim. The claim was given to a HVAC company and the contact information was provided to me via email. I contacted the HVAC company, January 3, 2024 and an appointment was scheduled for Friday, January 5, 2024. The technician arrived and checked the system, he stated that by turning off the power to the unit that I prevented the house from, possibly, catching fire. The HVAC technician provided me with a service invoice and stated that he would provide two options, repair or replacement, to First Premier for approval. My concern is for the system to be repaired before cold weather begins. I have been fortunate that after the first of January 2024, the weather has been mostly cool, not cold. Prior to January 3, 2024, I had no issues with my HVAC system. My system was operating without issue.
After not hearing from First Premiere or the technician, I contacted the HVAC company, on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, to be told that First Premier stated that three (3) yrs. of AC maintenance records would have to be submitted for the claim to be processed. I NEVER received a call from First Premiere, requesting the maintenance records. I contacted First Premier's claim department and was informed that I needed to submit 36 months of records. I was provided an email address from the claims representative, even repeating the received information, to ensure that it was correct. and submitted the requested invoices.
On the following morning, Thursday, January 11, 2024, I contacted First Premier claim department to ensure that the requested invoices were received. I was told by the female employee that I spoke to, that the email, along with the requested invoices had been received and the underwriting department had to review them. She stated to call back in a couple of hours. When I called later in the afternoon for an update, I was told that the email and documents had not been received. I spoke to two different employees during that particular call. The first one said that the email had never been received and I provided him with the name of the employee that I spoke to earlier that morning, who stated that the email with the attached documents had been received. My call was transferred to the same employee, I had spoken to earlier this morning, who initially stated that the documents HAD been received. She now stated that the email and documents had not been received. She then sent me an email, from the same email address that I had sent the documents to yesterday evening. I again attached the documents to the email and she stated that the email had been received.
I was told to wait a couple of hours and to call back to get a decision from the underwriting department. I waited two hours and called the claim department back, for an update on the status of the claim. The employee I spoke to started out friendly in his demeanor, stating that the claim was denied because my contract was only valid for three days, but he will help me. He began becoming rude stating that my claim appeared to be suspicious, as he overtalked me. He stated that he was my friend and that he would offer me $150 to settle the claim. I said NO. I felt bullied and violated by my encounter with this employee. I have paid monthly charges for a home warranty plan that will cover unexpected breakdowns and repairs. My initial payment to begin my contract with First Premier Home Warranty, was November 24, 2023, while I still had coverage with my previous home warranty company.
I had no lapse in my coverage or prior system breadowns.

Horrible customer service (if they even respond)
I have been with this company for two years and this was the first time I called in a claim. It was for one of my AC units where a problem was discovered during regular maintenance. I sent them the quote and after trying to get help and not successful 3 times, finally got a person to pick up and help. Sent in pictures, quotes, etc. Basically I did all the pre-work for them. Their response was to pay for less than 1/10 the quoted part cost based on some mysterious blue book (that they cannot produce). In calling to try and talk to someone, and finally reaching a person to pick up, the response was both condescending and rude and followed with being hung up on - three times! Then they started with emails and said I had to sign the document that I still needed to talk about cost. After several emails (5) to try and get a response their only response is to call back the general number again and they will jot talk about the cost. I asked them to send a person out that could install it for the low cost they provided, they refused (rudely saying this was not their problem). They refused to send their own person out to evaluate if the part **** quoted would even fit. They stopped emailing me almost a month ago and have told me to just call the general number instead of having a manager call me, which I have now requested 6 times. If you want bad customer service, repairs for 1/10 the cost, being talked down to, being ghosted, this is the company for you. For me, one star is generous.

Frustrated and freezing in Ohio
We contacted them over the weekend when our heater stopped working. We live in Ohio, and the temperature is dropping fast. After several days of not hearing anything, we finally called to see what was going on. They said they would send a technician first thing on Monday. The technician diagnosed the issue and contacted First Premier to get approval for the repairs. After not hearing back all day long, we called First Premier, and they said it was in the approval stage and could take 15 minutes to several hours. Today is Tuesday, and we still hadn't heard anything, so we called. The guy on the other end of the line said that the underwriter is going to send us a check and we can do with it what we want. He wouldn't tell us how much the check will be for and had no idea how long it would take for us to get the check. It is currently 27 degrees outside, and this is the company that is supposed to take care of us when issues arise with our home. I have had multiple warranty companies over the decades of owning homes, and I have never been treated so poorly. It should have been fixed yesterday when the technician was here, but First Premier is playing games with us. That is so unprofessional, and I am so disgusted right now.

bait and switch
On the day of enrolling I begged for a copy of the policy which was finally sent weeks later. On the day of my first claim, it was conveniently denied and the rep read me a paragraph that was only in the policy he had. Again I begged for a copy of his and GUESS WHAT the 1st policy was entirely different from the policy they quoted when I submitted a claim - suspiciously the 2nd policy has the exact item in exclusions that the contractor reported. A contractor first premier selected. Bait and Switch?! O yea.
